2021 Mustang Mach 1 ownership experience: 1st season

Love mine and so happy I went with the S550 Mach 1 over the Dark Horse. The Tremec six speed is a dream to shift, clean crisp shifts. This is in my opinion the best S550. The winglets are nice

I agree with you, the S550 Mach 1 is so much nicer to look at than the new S650 Mustang Darkhorse. The Darkhorse is essentially the S650 version of the Mach 1 package in all but name, with a bit more horsepower. Hopefully the new S650 will grow on me. I'm not a fan of the new styling just yet. I like the winglets on my car. They weren't a direct fit and I had to make them fit. I made a video about that also.

Great looking Mach 1. Every time I drive mine it is an event...I just have to add some unnecessary but totally enjoyable extra driving time 🙂

The drive time is the best! I don't need a reason to drive my Mach 1. Unfortunately I had to winter store my car. The wait until spring makes the winter almost bearable, lol! Drive your Mach 1 whenever possible and enjoy it! That's what our cars are made for. 👍👍👍

I love mine as well. Best mod I made was changing the front brake pads to carbon ceramics for $80. No dust and wheels always look great.

That's a really good idea. I used to run the Hawk HP500 pads on my other Brembo equipped vehicle. I'll definitely look into that next season and do the same for my Mach 1. 👍👍👍

@@jmanlevan I did the Powerstop Z26 Extreme Carbon-Ceramic which I ordered from AM for $75.59. Item #398632. Can’t tell any difference in stopping power and the wheels stay clean.

I ordered the from ZL1addons. They didn't have a set that was specifically for the Mach 1. I ordered a set that fits a 2018 and up GT performance package car. I made a video about the installation. I had to slightly modify the winglets to fit. Watch my video before you order them.
