2021 Nissan Juke review | Australia

In this review, Jenny checks out the latest 2021 Nissan Juke in the top Ti trim. Nissan believes the latest Juke has been modernized, improved, and is ready to take over the world again.
One of the main highlights Nissan has been pushing for the Juke is it’s new engine. On paper, the new engine seems very underwhelming. It is a 1 L three-pot turbo with 84 kW of power and 180 Nm of torque. All the twisting force is available from reasonably low 2400 revs and the dual-clutch gearbox with 7 speeds easily keeps the engine in a comfortable range at all times.
But as she shows in the video driving the new Nissan Juke is a different experience than paper may predict. The new Juke is a lot better than the old one; it looks more modern, it offers more space, it drives a lot better and it is packed with comfort and safety tech and perks.
This subcompact offering from Nissan has some tough competition in the likes of the Hyundai Kona, Toyota CHR, Kia Seltos, and Nissan's own Qashqai. Let’s see how it compares to the very populated segment.

Hey Jen, Great review. Now I was never a fan of the old Nissan Juke. I felt that the placement of the lights front and rear were completely wrong and just made it look like a bull dog. Now the new one in my opinion is miles and miles better than the old one, The looks are cool and quite funky, the lights are now better designed both front and rear, I quite like it now. I am pleasantly surprised that it has better handling and the ability that you can have fun on twisty roads is a plus. I love responsive and great to handle cars. If I had the cash, I would definitely buy one without hesitation.

Why do they always make these vehicles bigger every generation? All the major brands seem to do it, until it gets to the size of the segment above, then they need to introduce a new compact vehicle the size this one used to be.

Looks far better than the old one like the speakers on the headrest. Iike yesterday I saw a video of the new Cadillac Escalade it has 35 speakers 😲 same idea also in the headrest and several ones on the dash gonna feel like home theater on wheels.😅

The boot floor is adjustable, so it’s level when seats are down or you want to lift in a heavy load.

That's odd... In Belgium the 1.0 delivers 117hp but more strikingly the 180nm of torque are available from 1750rpm instead of 2400... I wonder why they remapped it like that, some local legislation?

Interestingly, the “2021” was not specifically mentioned in the entire video; not even once. The reviewer kept referring to the car models as “the new one” and “the old one”. Given how remarkably similar the 2021 model looks to the 2020 model, she might as well have reviewed the Juke 2020 model.

Why does it have a lift kit when it's not a 4x4? A bit of fun on a twisty road you say.. 1.3 tonnes and a foot off the ground it would handle like crap in the hills. 68 kW/t EMPTY! This thing can't get out of it's own way let alone everyone else's. A vehicle for a girl who isn't into driving, likes ugly cars and is just waiting to have babies.
