sir in 48:53 , if there was two hydrogen instead of alkyl group ,would it give just carbon dioxide and water , or carbon dioxide water and ketone?

In 4b there is compound C undergoes reaction 3 in which it reacts with H2SO4 and C2H5OH so what happens to C2H5OH?... because diester is being formed using the C compound itself

Reaction 3 is only shown for the case where we get a Br substitute instead of H. It is possible to get compound C instead of reaction 2 in which case we don't look at the reaction with C2H5OH (reaction 3)
