Some of my experiences with the storms this season include: In-fa (FabianPH)= Flooded our town because it strengthened the moonsoon winds, bringing heavy rains to Luzon. Conson (JolinaPH)= Didn't experience the full brunt of the typhoon but it was a very breezy and cool day for me. Kompasu (MaringPH)= Again, did not bring any significant effects on my area but its outer rainbands brought occasional heavy rains. I slept really well that night. Rai (OdettePH)= I am in Luzon so I was really not affected by it but it still rained a bit as Rai turns northward in South China Sea. Overall, pretty nice and calm season, in my area at least. This season would be much worse if Surigae and Chanthu made landfall on the heavily populated areas tho

@@onetwothree1950 Chanthu was pretty small. It only affected extreme northern Luzon and the Batanes and Babuyan islands. That day was very sunny for my region if I remember correctly.

@@dalian8677 I think chanthu's rainbands affected us in ncr or it's the southwest moonsoon that it enhanced. Cause in the night of September 11 it started to rain very heavy and In September 12, It was raining all day

@@kodujutracking8995 Oh. Yeah I think I remember people from NCR tweeting about it. You're right. It was mostly cloudy and a bit rainy that day in my province. I probably forgot about it since Conson is much more memorable for me

rai was also destructive when rai struck siargao city in mindanao philippines and in-fa is the most costliest storm in 2021 season chanthu mindulle and surigae are both cat 5s and nyatoh and rai both are super typhoons categories

Suri, the power storm of 2021. Also, everyone I see when doing WPAC animations almost always do 1-minute winds. What happened to the 10-minute winds?

I think it's fine. Most animations have always used 1 min winds because most people recognize the SSHWS scale.

@@onetwothree1950 I used to be a 1-minute guy, as I was mainly tracking the Atlantic for a while (I was using the SSHWS), but I am switching to the JMA scale as part of my transition to the Western Pacific.

There were a lot of C5s, most of them fishy

A lot of them came close to land, though. Surigae came close to Samar and Catacundes. Chanthu came very close to Northern Luzon. Mindulle came fairly close to Tokyo, and finally. Rai struck the Philippines as a super typhoon!
