Thanks for the video. Is it possible to leave the camping site with car Sunday early morning to drive further up the mountain?
@JChurchua3 жыл бұрын
Yes and No. I think they mention something about you have to stay with your RV/campsite. Probably due to the fact that they want you packed up and ready to go down the mountain with all the traffic. I would reach out to PPIHC themselves to confirm or deny. Thanks for tuning in! See you at the 100th anniversary! I'll be at Glen Cove(Hope the weather is clear)

Thanks for info, going 1st time this year 2022 - 100th anaversery looking so forward to it, camping sold out fast ! So at Motel 6 in Colorado Springs. Where are the better sites to watch race day from ?

Its all weather dependent. Ill give ya a good description later today on specifics. personally I prefer the lower sections because they always drive those, if it rains (or even snows in june) then they shut down the runs higher up. Each year I move up one campsite higher, and so far every year has been rained out higher up, this is my third year. I think I am going to be in Glen Cove, camping and spectating- this is the border to if it gets rained out or if they continue to run.

@@JChurchua Cool, Thanks. All info as a spectator is greatly appreciated ! Will take your advice and follow your knowledge with track and best viewing areas, the elevation is big deal, good to know, I’ve been to Denver many times, and Colorado weather is weird to say the least, sunny warm, hour later 1/2 inch snow and getting stronger

Gran tourism o sure doesn't mind cluttering up with their cheap marketing....2011 was across the road just this side of the curve...the monster scared the crap outta me standing in the ditch...just over 10 was fastest then....had a little dirt just past this stretch....love this hillclimb...
