Could you please elaborate I didn’t see anything on your channel about it
@americantrucknation48913 жыл бұрын
I don’t really know what else to say, but when you take the truck into a dealer, ask them if they can recalibrate the trans when you get to 60-65k on the clock. When they do, the thing will go back to learning your driving habits and will shift more precisely and smoothly. It also prolongs the life of the transmission. All of these people saying their 2020 Ford dropped, did not do that. The trans fell out of calibration and started to shift harder and would wear on the parts a lot more so. When that happens, it will fail way sooner than it needs to. You should be able to get a couple hundred thousand out of that 10 speed, people just don’t give it the chance.

I have a 2020 2500 tradesmen with the 6.4 hemi which I hate too but it even comes with the 8.4 touchscreen with backup camera. They wanted 33000 something and I almost didn't get it and walked out and was about to leave and they came out there I said they got it done for the price of how much I wanted to pay a month. They actually got it for $1 cheaper for what I wanted to pay a month. A couple of weeks ago I got a letter in the mail from the dealership that a salesmen personally wrote wanting to know if I still had the truck he had said he had a customer that wanted a 2018 Ram 3500 Dually and wanted to trade it in and he was willing to pay $4,000 over the trade in value it only has 141,000 miles. But I would have to undelete it. To hell with that I love my truck LOL. Just wondering why a customer wants a 2018 when he can get a newer one.

@@erikgonzalez2278, no doubt chevy is better than Ford. I just can't figure out why used duramax engines cost more than powerstroke or cummins.
@erikgonzalez22783 жыл бұрын
@@repairvehicle I've read that in forums Id guess because they have to source them from Izusu or maybe low production versus a power stroke or cummins.

It’s a rental truck u can go out n buy u a Ram with everything you want

So, why'd you lease a Ram with the lousy transmission, smaller cab, tiny video screen, crappy mirrors, etc, etc?

What's most important for hot shot? Drive train, e brake, problem solved! I don't give a rat's a** about the features, u like more features buy Laramie or at least compare 2 XLT models , you can't compare Ram tradesmen to Ford xlt, It's not quite the same thing!

Alex can I call you. Where did you get the enterprise truck. I called Indiana yesterday and they claim the program is suspended until 2022
@sar15213 жыл бұрын
I think they just suspended it for new leases. When I called they had a huge wait list and told me to try back in a couple months. That was the end of last year. I ended up just buying a semi truck. Much more comfortable living space.

Are 68rfe’s trash for non cdl also? Could it be a starting point for growth into cdl next truck purchase Aisin after successfully getting A class Cdl? I have one in transit that’s a ref?
@xinferischief15703 жыл бұрын
68rfe is fine. Don't listen to the gatekeepers. The only true reason the Aisin would be considered better is because of the PTO capabilities. I know plenty of car CDL car haulers that have 300k-400k on their 68 and all they did was put a trans cooler ($400) on and keep up maintenance.

I think the 68RFE is a better transmission than the Ford 10 speed, the new 10 from Ford has had some serious failure issues at around 80K (well documented) and 95% of those failures are from people who do not tow everyday like a hotshot, on the flip side of that I had a 68RFE in my hotshot that I purchased new and put 350K trouble free miles on it......but I was religious with regular fluid change intervals, maybe that is the key.

I made on my 205k and it still good transmission

Sad, ford was the king of diesel transmissions in the 6R140 era, only to downgrade to a transmission that makes a 68RFE look like a Aisin in durability comparison. Oh well, if ford doesn't get this 10 speed sorted out soon they will be the ones getting slanderd for a garbage transmission AND an inferior engine 😬

Ford never has been able to build a transmission period and there diesels are based of gas engine designs.

Adapt to the ram minus the powertrain. Expect the Ford to nearly completely adapts to you minus the powertrain. The shape of the engine works for both acceleration and deceleration as well as longevity. Find one single million miler gooseneck or fifthwheel hauler Ford on KZbin. There’s a hand full of dodges. Even at least one with a 68. Hope that helps.
