which model do you recommend for a mix of fun fitness paddling and fishing?

Hi DJ, A fishing board wants to be stable and be able to hold a bit of a load. I have seen people bring a small cooler or even a low seat to do their fishing. This also takes deck space. On the fitness side of things if you are doing yoga or other exercises as well as paddling then again stability is key. Putting those parameters into the hopper I would come out with the 10’8” Ride. Another one to consider would be the 11”3 Sport. This is a far better paddling board and only gives up 2 inches of width, so 2 inches less stable and deck space but a far better paddler. Hope that helps and that we can get you out onto a board. Don’t forget your paddle and leash.

I’m having a difficult time choosing between the two sizes. Which board will be better in choppier conditions?
@EscapeRouteCA3 жыл бұрын
Both boards will offer stability and will plow through choppy waves. The difference in sizes is based on experience. The 13'2 is made for competent and experienced paddlers to go at high speeds. You should feel confident on a board if you are choosing that size. Otherwise the 12'6 is a great option, which you can still go touring with.
