We look at the the 3 main board ranges from Red Paddle Co.
The Ride range are the best boards for all round paddling, from flat-water family fun to catching some small waves. Great for families wanting to get into SUP and do it all.
The Sport range of boards are perfect if you want to paddle faster and further. With their thinner overall outline shape they’re much more streamline and have more glide.
The Voyager range has the same drawn out outline shape as the Sport range, but is much happier at taking weight at the front and back of the board. These range of boards are for those paddlers wanting to really explore their world, one river bend at a time.

Good afternoon. I have a similar question, about a universal board. Only the choice between Voyager 13.2 and Elite 14x27. That at your look it will be better. It is planned to use 80% on the rivers, lakes and quiet water and 20% for the sea.

Hey Alexsey, Got a few questions for you. What hight and weight are you? And do you want to put gear on the board? Thanks Reuben

which model would you recommend for 180 pound paddler fitness paddling 1-2 hours and some fishing from a seated position with 10-20 pounds of gear? wish they had D rings near the middle to tie down a cooler.

Hey Dennis a redpaddleco.com/en-us/product/126-voyager/ is a great size for that kind of thing, or a redpaddleco.com/en-us/product/113-sport/ . The Voyager will be fastest and best board probably. Thanks Reuben

Hi Reuben. At your weight, how does the 9'8" Ride surf comapred to say a Fanatic Stubby Air? I ended up selling my stubby as I found it a bit too advanced and unstable in the choppy waves where I live, and very slow on the flat. I'm looking into boards again and want an isup thats more stable but still surfs really well. The 9'8 has always caught my attention as I found the 10'6 too stable with not much performance. Any recommendations? I was also looking at the Honu Bondi 9.3", the Itiwit 10ft, or even a cheaper 9'8" Fanatic Fly Air Pure? Thanks.

hi, I am looking at voyager 12,0 as a kind of also all-around board, with touring option:) How does it compare to ie 11 Sport in this area? Is it easy enough to manoeuvre (in comparison to ie 11,0 ) and does it behave well in a sea?

Hi, thanks for the comment. Sorry for the delay in replying. The 12'0 Voyager would be fairly similar to handle with the reduced width. It would feel very fast compared to the Sport too. Yes, the Voyager would work well for ocean paddling. Just be aware that the 28" width can make it feel wobbly in fairly bumpy conditions. All in all, it would be a great upgrade and perfect for your paddling. Hope this helps. Thanks, Beau

Which would you take between the Red Sport 12'6" and Starboard 12'6" Touring Deluxe?
@SUPboardermag
@SUPboardermag 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Mark. Hmm tricky one! What do you want to use it for? For fast cruising and light touring I would take the sport. But if its more touring and longer paddles I would go for the Starboard. What are you wanting to do with it ? Thanks Reuben

@@SUPboardermag ideally just an all-round versatile board that potentially may be my only one. I live in the Seattle area, so there's lots of water variety nearby (large lakes, rivers, ocean). I want something fun and flexible that I can grow into, but still have performance to handle variety, and maybe do occasional 1/2-day trips as I improve. From what I'm reading, it sounds like I can't go wrong either way :)

@@markpalfreeman cool, yeah both are great, but if its a more all round board you are after I would go for the Sport. Its a very versatile board that I use loads and I have even taken out in small waves. Thanks Reuben

@@markpalfreeman Hi. I had a similar choice of universal board. After Red paddle Sport 11.3 I wanted either Red paddle elite 14x27 or Red paddle voyager 13.2x30. He eventually bought Voyager. In my opinion, a very interesting model.
