Really liking the new front orchestra layout with the drummers spaced in between the fanfare trumpets, just like in the 1980's parades!

I wish they would return the inspection of troops on Manezhnaya Square. Every year I also keep wishing that they would do a parade without a narrator like in the 1970's October Revolution Parades.

At least the formation lined up north of the square, with the battalions formed up on the street, would be nice, and then with the Massed bands playing Slavsya following the inspection of the column, and the bells ringing as the Minister of Defense arriving on the grandstand. Since the Iberian Gate can only accomodate the inspection cars, one at a time, as the gates open, it's a possible option to revive the inspection at least at the intersection of the square with Tverskaya, Okhotnny Ryad and Mokhovnaya Streets, with the mobile column battalions assembled with their vehicles on Tverskaya and Okhotnny Ryad and the occasional cavalry and tachanka at Mokhovnaya Street and the optional secondary band or massed bands on Manezhnaya Square like in the old days. How can I say it's possible? Looking on the Wiki page of the Iberian Gate, looking at the picture, I can say that the Gates can fit only the inspection cars, as the mobile column (and occasional cavalry) would be entering Red Square, as it has always been since the parade of 2008, from the west side of the State Historical Museum. After all the contingents have executed right turn for the march off, the bands can enter the Square thru the SHM either to provide the final contingent for march past or as reinforcement to the massed bands there together with the drummers.

@@jmramos0109 i think that Putin will have to destroy this gate again 😂
@jmramos01093 жыл бұрын
@@jant4416 He won't, because of the significance of these and the Kazan Cathedral to the history of the nation and of its capital. Putin would have to watch as the mobile column enters the Square via the State Historical Museum's west wing.

"Holy War" - patriotic song of the periodOf the Great Patriotic War, which became the anthem of the defense of the Fatherland. The song's music combines the menacing tread of a march with a broad melodic chant. It is also known for the first line: "Get up, the country is huge!"

The soviet band somehow just played everything way more powerfully like they had genuine pride. No matter how they felt about their country, it was a genuine superpower and was something to be proud of. Modern Russia has nothing to be proud of.

if they want to do it, they need to exclude the banner's salute
In the 1985 and 1990 parades, the veterans of the war were still fit enough to march. Now, i don't think a lot of them are even alive. The youngest veteran would be at least 96 years(assuming he was 16 in 1941). Even the youngest cold war veteran would be 50 years old (assuming he was 18 in 1989).
