Wonderful entry level TV. Initially bought a 55" Sony X80J, and found the picture to be dark, grainy and fuzzy. Exchanged it for the Samsung AU8000 in the same size. The Samsung picture is clear and bright, with vibrant colours. The Samsung Plus free live TV channels are great also. Thanks for reviewing this TV. 💙

I did exactly the same thing. Bought a Sony 55 80J, terrible picture, then got the AU80000. I agree it has great color and depth but one thing that jappens is the audio and video go out of sync on a regular basis and for no reason. Any idea's or suggestions on how to fix this?

I just upgraded to this TV from my 1080p Samsung I had since 2008. based on your review. I was not blown away by the picture like I was when I first upgraded to a HD Tv. I mainly watch HD & 4K content using my Apple TV 4K. Why do some movies look great while other not so much on AU8000. I can get a consistent picture that I like like on my old TV. Thinking of returning it and I’ve only had the AU8000 for a day.

You have to upgrade all of your sources and use apps for TV. They are made to perform but old tech doesn’t look good on newer TVs

@@TechSteve I did more research. My old Samsung 1080p TV was a top of the line TV that was well lit, vibrant colors with very clear picture. It was the edge lighting in the AU8000 that wasn’t mind blowing for me. I researched more Samsung TV’s and decided to get the Samsung 65 inch Q80A TV because of the full array dimming back lighting. The TV looks great connected to my Apple TV 4K. Very happy with the picture. I don’t think you reviewed this TV yet but I’ll be checking for your review if you do one. Hello Steve. I got some questions. So, from your review I bought this TV. However I can't seem to cast with my laptop UNLESS the TV is connected to the internet. But in other TV it's not like that. Is there anyway it can be solved? Second is, what I see on my Samsung home TV is different from what showed on your own. The look and feel is different.

Not sure about the laptop but it has wifi direct built in, you can look up using laptop as a wireless projector but i use apple so i use airplay. I create these demos but you need stream apps to get a good picture, not cable or rebranded iptv
