2021 Scott Ransom eRIDE model 920| Bosh Cx 4th gen motor | Initial impressions

On a trip to local dealer to checkout the orbea e-bikes, came across the Scott ransom, it was the only one they had in stock. After taking out to the parking lot to test and compare decided the power of the bosh 4th get in way more fun despite the weight of the bike than then detuned motor of the orbea.Not to forget that also the Scott is priced a few thousand dollar less than the Orbea, so it was a not brainer to take the ransom home, and check out what 180mm of wheel travel front and back on a 27kg bike can do!

Is been great.! Over the year I have seen multiple other e-bikes with higher price tags and no one come close to this scott ransom. The only complain I have is that stock tires dont last. Specially the rear, I went thru a few sets before I realized I had to get DH casing. Ever since no more issues.Now I wish it had a battery extension to be able to rider longer I can only go around 25-30 miles on the fastest mode.(that's doing average of around 17-18mph) pretty crazy,,super funn though.

I have one too great bike's. You can add a battery extender, there's a Australian guy on KZbin who has a 500wh extender on his Ransom.

Don't you think the motor is heating up after 20 miles this the slow down and power loss

No, it is a governor built in the system. They now sell a kit to bypass that limiting speed and allow you to go unlimited.

@@pwrcycles4735 does the kit void the warranty ? I like this bike a lot but I've got Hills I need to Coast down much faster than 20 miles an hour before I get to my riding trails.

you know if this bike can fit a coil shock like dhx2?

my guess would be "yes should fit" because this comes stock with the fox X2 which is already big volume. the frame has a reces that allows for the fat part of the shock to be kind hidden towards the middle tube. try to see if there are any photos online of clos up on this Scott frame.

Yes sir, that is correct,the bike is 27 Kilograms...

Can you notice the difference between that weight and say a 23kg ebike??
