I think of mine as a pickup on the water, it does most everything. It’s smaller and easier, and more maneuverable than a boat. On the Ohio River, my 2020 top speed is 58 mph. Changing my prop from a 11/19 to a Stainless 12/20, trying to get to 60... If they ever bring out a Supercharged Fish Pro, I’m first in-line. But if I’m not mistaken, you can purchase all the parts to convert one. The Fish Pro is basically a GTX-170 with mods and accessories. The cooler extension and front rod/drink holders are ordered. I also have a Marine VHF registered to my ski just in case. On the river going through locks, a radio is handy.

Looks like your trim was about half way down. The display is misleading. All the way up on the display is straight through the jet. Two marks in the middle aims the nozzle slightly down. All they way down on the display aims it down more. I'm able to hit 59mph with my '22 FishPro with the VTS all the way up on the display meaning no trim. I discovered the VTS positions while flushing. Pull the throttle lever to put it in Forward and play with the VTS settings with it running and you can see the positions of the jet nozzle. Fun video!

I have a 2021. I only have about 12 hours on it but I do live in Florida so I’ve had it in rough chop. But take my experience with a grain of salt since I don’t have much...yet. It is very stable and you can go almost full throttle however there is a bit of bow hunt when cutting across the chop at an angle, so I do find myself putting in some correction in those conditions. But nothing crazy. I have been very impressed with it and its stability. Btw, I’m 6’3” and 220 lbs. I can stand completely on one side.

I have a 2020 model and am overly impressed at how well it handles rough water. My 5 year old son and me have no problem in severe chop. We have 45 hours on it just in the past year. I'm a bigger guy. Mine will get up to about 56 mph

It's not too bad in chop. I have a 2020 fishpro and use it mainly for bay fishing in Rockport TX. I've run out into the Gulf of Mexico with it a few times and was never worried about anything. I weigh around 160 and can hit 60mph on it. Honestly the best thing, to me, about it is that since I am not an avid fisherman. So I can get up early, go fishing, go back to the truck drop off the the fishing gear, pick up my girlfriend and spend a day out on beaches most people can't get to. Just be careful in shallow water. First time I took mine out I sucked a rock into my impeller. Wasn't too bad other than idling back to the truck and then having to pop the rock out. Luckily it didn't damage the wear ring or impeller.

Center of balance is setup on the models with a supercharger. On the NA models they always lean a little due to not having the extra weight on the side of the motors. Mine does.

@@badm0t0rf1ng3r The cool thing about Sea Doo is you actually CAN have a 230 Fish Pro. You can get a GTX 230 (same exact machine) and buy add on accessories from Sea Doo to turn it into a super charged Fish Pro. Same exact features. Including the extended transom.

I also have a GTX 170 but haven’t ridden it yet. I’ll have to check with my partner to see if it leans, too. Have you heard of anybody putting in ballast to counter the offset from a lack of a sc? Not really anything that bothers me all that much tbh.

I bought a SEA DOO FishPro in June 2021 and quickly got renamed to SEA DONT. From the boat ramp on the first outing, the DONT went exactly .9 miles and lost thrust while the engine rpm increased at the same time (think of stepping on the clutch), so I quickly released the throttle at which time it cut off and would not restart. So to the dealership it went, and continues to call home, 6 weeks later and onward. So basically at $17,000 dollars a mile, I would not purchase this machine, not to mention, being off shore or on an epic trip like in the video. The IDF feature had a recall that left the dealership not repaired and oh by the way, that recall is pretty intense, so most dealerships are going to let you fail on the water because of the nature of the repair and in my case, lost power and was floating with my daughter in a major pass for boats, ships, Yamaha's, Honda's, basically any watercraft that actually works. Oh by the way, if you try to return it to the dealership BRP has already nail your A$$ shut with a clause that states this POS is yours no matter what.. ugh, think twice. You might not know who BRP is (Canada peeps), but you will as your brain aches on calls that you should not have to be making. So basically, SEA TOW insurance ($1,000 per year) + SEA DONT = NOT A GOOD IDEA.

depends.. if your on a lake, prob 30 bucks like he said or cheaper if you drop anchor.... if your on the ocean and you troll, itll cost more than 30 bucks. you can guesstimate safely on 80 miles per tank given your not in sport mode...

my Trophy is good for about 56 tops when loaded fully and full tank of gas.... I carry probably 250 lbs of tackle and gear, live well mode for the ice chest, etc, and of course I'm a dainty little dude coming in about 275 or so. I've not gone out when it was not loaded down and full of fuel to see how fast it would go, maybe this coming warm season. What's your opinion on the beast by now?

We intend on taking up fishing some (we live east coast Florida), but I primarily got the Fish Pro to use as a hauler for going camping on some islands down here and traveling the ICW. LOVE the size and that rear deck. Huge! Get one! You won’t be disappointed!

And one with a large rear deck and the ability to carry a lot of extra supplies, fuel or food and beverages. An internal depth finder, closed loop cooling, IDF, and especially IBR, all seal the deal for me.

I've caught air in mine and never had a rod come out. I found out if you're bottom fishing to have a way to take the sinkers off as the ends of the poles can sway vigorously and lines will get tangled.

I can empathize. I put a deposit down on a 2021 even before the release date back in September. My dealer pulled a hat trick and was able to snag one for me right before Christmas. Not sure where you live, but I think living in Florida helps (and southern Cal and Australia). 12 hours on mine and counting. Be patient. It’ll def be worth it! 😬

Most live bait will require and aerator. I bought the frabill 19 qt livewell cooler and it fit perfectly between the seat and the Lin Q cooler. I put a bungee over the top and connect it end to end in the Lin Q connectors. I fish a lot of jetties and inlet areas that aren't the smoothest waters and it will keep shrimp alive all day. I have the 2020, as well. Wish I had the cup holders on the 2021.

The only problem is they don't come with a trailer so ad at least 1500 or more add another 1000 if u want a stereo, and on top of that, most there motors only average 300 hours, so u get close to that,good luck try resale it,just not worth it,nut a bass boat

You can easily hit 1000 hours on a 4 stroke jetski like this one if you winterize it correctly and do proper preventative maintenance. That 300 hour average is for 2 stroke engines and for people that dont take proper care of their skis.
