Nice bike. This reminds me of my early 90s Cannondale M700 mountain bike which I still use.

I don't want a MTN bike or a road bike or own one of each. But I want a flat bar. Thanks Specialized.

Gravel bike have come along way from the CX beginnings, my Specialized Sequoia 2017, I've changed to 750mm flat bars, the wind on gravel roads was mean, I now have 640mm 50mm rise, with trigger shifter, real MTB brakes levers, I kept the 105/RS505 calipers and deraileurs, (in winter with Bar Mitts the finicky RS505's, and drop bars are hard to use, dangerous) the frame is Cromoly, threaded BB, carbon fork 12mm through axles, I ride year round in Michigan, freeze thaw makes our gravel roads like mine fields so I've got Red Shift stem/seatpost, Axis Sport wheels, 42 Sawtooth tires that grip the snowpack like studded, I think the tires are made from octopi,, not a race bike, I have a gravel/mile eating monster, shoud have changed to flat bars in 2017... miles of smiles... I have a Epic EVO it won't be on gravel, and the Sequoi won't be on trails although its done goot on trails, they each have their place.. I'll keep the Steel bike for awhile longer but that E5 EVO is cool.

Would really like to see a direct comparison between this bike and the Sirrus X5.0 since they are the same price and both have 1x11 drive trains.

if you are just riding on streets, what makes this bike special ?

I know this isn't an ebike but the Diverge looks a hell of a lot like a slimmer version of my Vado SL 5.0. The Vado comes well specced with Specialized Pathfinder Sport, 700x38c tyres but I'm looking to replace these with two Rhombus Pro, 2Bliss Ready, 700x42mm tyres for off road winter riding. I know the Vado SL 5.0 is meant to be an expensive hybrid commuter/light off road bike but it runs a treat on gravel and more than light off road terrain, with the flat bars I prefer.

Hermosa máquina. Quién dice que no será esa la tendencia de las futuras gravel? Aún está a nivel precio de una gama media, de lo contrario me la compro, sin dudar.

Great channel and lots of info, but what’s the long term on this bike? I am trying one out now but feel the futureshock and cable route into are both really noisy and lots of rattles!

What’s the difference between this and a sirrus x
@lastpme4 жыл бұрын
Sergio Fortich I am thinking this one comes with wider and more aggressive tires.
@Serjenga4 жыл бұрын
lastpme you should also be able to get wider tires on the sirrus X than stock. The overall geometry seems similar but is it worth the price jump
@dundundata76032 жыл бұрын
geometry, closer to modern mountain bikes. sirrus is a more upright position
