This video helped me chose to test out a 1/2 stalogy to see if it will work for me. Will let you know!

Hello! Thanks for that i love Stalogy! Can you tell me what is the clear cover you have on it? I am getting the B6 ½ year (as i use weekly spreads) . Do you know what clear cover will fit that?
@FromCarola3 жыл бұрын
Hi! On the A5, I’m using a Midori clear cover but unfortunately Midori doesn’t make one that fits a Stal B6 (as far as I know). I’ve heard that Print Pressions and Lauren Phelps Design makes B6 covers that should fit though if that helps…

Wow! I love your handwriting and you’re the first person who’s really made me interested in Stalogy, I had heard of it but it didn’t appeal to me…until now! Thank you 🙏 p.s. your voice is so soothing and relaxing 😌 also, what fountain pens and ink do you recommend on Stalogy paper (I like Ferris or J.Herbin , is that ok ? You can recommend others if you know of any)
@FromCarola3 жыл бұрын
Ahh thank you so much, I'm glad you're interested in trying it out! I actually have a video where I chat about fountain pens, ink and paper (Stalogy included) if you want to check that out... but yes, both Ferris and Herbin inks work well on Stalogy paper as well as Diamine, Monteverde, Pilot Iroshizuku, and Sailor inks (the ones I've tried so far)! I would definitely do a pen and ink test in the back of the book just in case as I found that Noodler's inks can ghost through Stalogy paper.

Been using the standard $2 graph notebooks 4mm, worked great, this year can’t find the exact ones, should have bought a box load last time. Had an a5 from Designworks stashed, figured not ideal but ok, looked small. So went to buy a box full and nowhere to be found. Don’t like dot grid so the official Bullet Journal is out of the question. Bought a few different graph notebooks, one of them the Stalogy a5, I’m like ok ok this is pretty legit, and looks like they’ve been making these for years. Because I’m used to that cheapo graph notebook size which is roughly a B5, was hoping this would work, but it's 5mm squares. But the a5 is a keeper.

I agree, I do like the grid size in the A5. Thanks for sharing your experience with different notebooks.

It’s nice to hear your voice. 😉 I follow you on IG and have been watching your KZbin vids. This was a good review, but I still can’t decide between my Archer + Olive notebooks or starting another A5 Stalogy for daily bullet journal in 2022. I love Stalogy paper so much.

Yay, so glad to connect on here too! Thanks for watching 😊 I love Stalogy paper as well but I will say that depending on inks (stamping or pens), some tends to ghost and/or bleed through the Stalogy paper while they may not through Archer & Olive (thickness of paper)… I guess that could help you decide? And whether cover design matters.

Thank you so much for sharing. In other videos, I didn't understand what half year was, since its undated. Your video clarified a lot.

Oh I’m so glad it makes sense now! And of course because it’s technically “undated” you could use it for many purposes and make it last a year or longer... Thanks for watching!

Hey! What size is the grid on the B5? Is it the same size as the A5 (i.e.; smaller / comparable to Cousin)?
@FromCarola3 жыл бұрын
Hi! The grid size in the Stalogy B5 is 5mm while the A5 is 4mm. The Hobonichi Cousin grid size is 3.7mm… hope that helps!

Ooh ! I’m glad I found this video! My Tekukor Tomoe River journal disappeared a couple days ago (the kids better not be drawing in it lol) so I decided I’d try stalogy because I’m obsessed with the b5 size paper. But I was deciding if I should be frugal and buy the a5 or spend the money on the b5 I really want… You helped me to decide to just go for it, your journal made me feel so inspired 😊. Also, what fountain pen were you using? I like the look of it 🙂
@FromCarola3 жыл бұрын
Aw yay I’m so glad this video was helpful! I honestly love the B5 size - I hope you enjoy yours! I’m using the TWSBI eco with a fine nib. It writes smoothly on Stalogy paper and holds a lot of ink (it has a built in converter so it’ll take bottled ink and not disposable inks). Not too expensive but worth the cost in my opinion.

@@FromCarola thanks so much for responding! I’m loving the Stalogy, I’m so addicted ! Can’t wait to look up the pen! (Not that I need another haha)

Hi! Your handwriting is gorgeous! So you find that fountain pens work well on the Stalogy paper? I’m glad to hear that. I also had never heard of a B5 size…very interesting! I’ll have to check it out. Thank you for an interesting video. 🙂☀️ Meline

Thanks so much for watching! Yes I love using fountain pens on Stalogy paper (though I would always recommend doing an ink test as some inks saturate more and may ghost through the paper…) The B5 size is my fave for journaling! There is just so much more space and the date selection at the top of the paper is bigger and easier to read. Do check it out! 😊🙌
