Stalogy Editor's Series 365Days Notebook Review

This was my first Japanese notebook (coming from Leuchtturm1917). I maybe used 7 of these books before going to hobonichi's TR notebooks. Stalogy 365 is such a good notebook, I love that the paper is thin, making the book small. I like ghosting, but I did notice some slight feathering with larger nibs and more watery inks. An example of feathering would be Writer's Blood in a twsbi Eco with a fine nib. The only problem I have is the inconsistent grid size between a5 and a6--the smaller notebook has a bigger grid; I wish it was the same size as the a5. Also, they've updated the notebook: there are now dot grid and blank.

Thank you for the comment! I was not aware that the A6 size had a smaller grid. So do they not offer a grid anymore? Only dot grid and blank options?

I think my comment got deleted. But yes! They're a6 is a .5 mm grid. And no, they added blank and dot grid to their line after many of their customers asked for it, which shows that they really listen to their customers!

Got one somewhere 😂 I enjoy the paper but that 4mm grid did my head in, it’s not for me. I cannot read that ‘day’, etc info at the top of the page, it’s far too small. Thx Blake for your thoughts 🙂👍🏻

Thanks Richard! The printing of the date and hours is definitely in a tiny font. I was okay with the 4mm grid. The 2mm of the Nakamura x Kleid notebook was definitely not for me.

The B6 and A6 sizes have a 5mm grid.

They print all of the day numbers at the top so that you can use more than one page for the same day and skip others. For example you could circle the 10th on three pages, then if you didn't have any notes or entries for the 12th or 13th, you would circle the 14th on the next page. This way you have less blank or wasted pages.

some of us prefer that grid "awfulness"
