I've seen other reviews of both devastator and you're the first one that likes the second one better. Thank you for confirming that I am not crazy. Everyone else keeps mentioning the color details on the first, but to me this second version just has a better look especially from a far when displayed. It also looks a lot more like doomsday which is what I wanted. And Gamestop has it on sale, so even better. Box was trashed, but I don't keep the boxes so I'm good.

True, in this particular case it looks better. The thing is that i've seen other reviews where their Devastators ended up with a worse paint job (its because its marbled plastic, and the result its random and always different in each figure).

Would it really hurt McFarlane to add alternate hands to their figures? ... Please?

Most of the figures would honestly be fine with a standard set of hands that just get recolored. It's one thing I appreciate about the Superman Infected body reuse. They reuse the hands(which are generally fine). It would help if we could get a mirrored pair. Two fist hands and two action poses. I like two gripping hands normally but with DC characters I think one is fine.

Man I've always loved the yellow emblem on the cape. It was like a flag. I miss that. Sometimes i custome my figures so that it has one.

I'm not familiar with the Death Metal Saga. Other than what I've heard from all of you collectors online. Do all of these Batmen and other characters exist in the same reality or are they all from different Earths or different realities? The NECA Superman is more cut and detailed and even though the new Superman has a great head sculpt it's body is too smooth, not enough details.

That Neca Superman is gross 🤣. Soft goods capes are dope but it didn't save the head sculpt or body. McFarlane is killing it. He will add hands eventually lol and they will be able to swap.

This set is really a missed opportunity but I don't dislike it existing. I hate when Mcfarlane takes figures hostage like Red Death and Red Hood by making you spend $40 to get a figure they released separately/better. But in this situation both figures came out prior. I don't feel I'm missing an essential feature or figure. The hands/head in this case are not essential. Unlike the upcoming red hood alt head, and all the other alt head bs Mcfarlane is doing. It's very anti consumer. I doubt Target actually understands the value of these alt figures. Like you said though the alt hand game needs to be worked on. I assume Mcfarlane didn't want to make too much new stuff for a body that will probably be retired after this for something built around Superman Infected.

Mcfarlane could take advantage and relaunch this superman, I'm from Brazil and I see that there are still a lot of people who haven't picked it up, I look at all the sites and it's already sold out ... it would be a good thing to relaunch the superman :)

That neca Superman didn't age well😂 looks terrible. You're the only one I've heard prefer this Devastator over the original release. They all say the first release has the better paint job. Nice review.

Aw I still really like the NECA one, plus it has the heat blasts done beautifully. Yeah this devastator had a much better paint job, lot more crisp. Thanks for watching

Great new head sculpt for superman but ...todd needs to do away with those god awful ball wrist and hands. it kills the aesthetics of the figure. far as doomsbat .......um no, I would prefer a real doomsday figure.

That's one thing about DC McFarland I'm always complaining about he never gives us fisted hands always open hands yeah he'll have fisted hands here and there but if you look at most of all his DC figures he made I guarantee you they're all open hands and that's something that really irritates me specially for a character like Batman or Superman

Here's a little tip on how the stand works for any one who's intrested. You know the huge mountainous spike at the right end ?? Well the tip of it is dull and Then further down caves in. You're saposed to fold supermans cape over the spike while fitting the tip in the crevis of His back where the torso articulation is. He hangs by that but the caved in portion of the mountainous spike near the middle end seats his ass and saports the figures weight. Now devastator comes at him from the left of the stand mounting his foot in the peg where the sink hole is.....imgur.com/gallery/D7rUefe Did that help any ?? Let me know how it works out.
