The bike is 1000$ cheaper than others for a reason its for those who are getting into racing and don't want a bike to buck them off, yes it isn't up to date and still has a kickstart does not mean it is a bad bike.

Just bought a 2022 Rmz 450 … they’re similar to the 250 haven’t changed much but like you said a lot of us came from 15 year old bikes maybe almost 20 year old bikes and so this Suzuki machine is completely brand new and far from being outdated for the majority of us… I mean shoot for about a decade I had a 2007 KX250F and I was weighing in at about t200-225lbs.. 6ft4 and given the skills… could go run up there with a lot of A class guys on 2023 Bikes… it’s all rider and proper bike setup.

Just bought a 22 can't wait to ride it. Yellow puts a smile on my face everytime I have ever ridden 1 and that's why I came back to the brand. I got rid of a 2020 orange bike to make it happen so "THE BEST BIKE" according to some was not enough to keep me on the brand. That's not a knock on KTM either the 350 sxf is an amazing bike.

@MXvsATV144 Жыл бұрын
You spoke perfectly when talking about how it is a great bike for someone to go racing with since it’s cheaper to buy two of them versus another brand…. And so what if the power isn’t the same or the Suspension is the same because any serious motocross racer or Supercross racer will remove most the factory parts anyways.. which they will do with even a brand new Yamaha and all the others they’re still going to go drop tens of thousands on completely aftermarket, forks and shocks and build the engines

I see the Barx Suzuki team cut off the triangles that lead into the air box. Do you see an advantage with that? And would love some feedback about exhaust systems, whether slip on is enough or full system. I have a 2020 and would like some more overrev
@RyanNitzen3 жыл бұрын
Cutting out the parts on the air box will add more air flow, I remember the JGR guys doing that a few years back. Definitely looking to get an exhaust for this thing and hoping that will help out too.

looking at the 250 or the 450. The way I ride and no longer race, I think the 450 would be super reliable, but dealing with the rear shock is something to consider. Think I may have more fun on the 250 but I'm not sure. Any suggestions?
@RyanNitzen2 жыл бұрын
I'd say a lot of it depends on height, weight, and riding style. I personally like the 450 because I can lug it around and not be as hard on the engine.

Good job on the video, thanks! I completely agree about the bashing on Suzuki, and most people not being able to ride it to it's potential. Its frustrating when magazines and all the shootouts focus so much on motor. I realize its a big deal in that class, supposedly. I think 95% of people who buy a 250F will not be held back by a stock 250F motor these days. In my opinion the suspension, handling/ability to turn are far more important characteristics. All that to say, I think the suzuki is a poor value. It has its place, as your analogy described, but it doesn't really seem like its that much cheaper than any of the other Japanese bikes. I think if it was cheaper priced than it is, and had more suitable (for most) springs in it, it would be more appealing. Which of the Japanese bikes would you consider the most reliable/dependable? I'm on the fence between the Kawi and Yamaha. I've heard the 21 Kawi is having clutch issues, but I like the adjust-ability and hydro clutch. The Yamaha seems more reliable, but its not as adjustable as the Kawi, and the air box setup seems janky? Thoughts? Thanks !

Thanks for the support, means a lot! Im a big fan of the Yamaha 250 right now. The motor and suspension are pretty much unbeatable right out of the box. It also has a phone app where you can connect to the bike and change mapping or upload your own custom map. Super trick and lots of adjustability.

How does the chassis and ergonomics feel compared to the other bikes, how does the foot peg position feel. Is it more like a cr, kx, yz, or ktm with ergonomics. Also how's the power, I haven't ridden a gas gas but I've heard people say the rm has power down low like a yz but not as powerful. You make it sound like it has no snap, more like a crf250. Does the stock motor have any competitive advantages, like the yz's snap, cr's top end power, etc.
@RyanNitzen3 жыл бұрын
I'd say cockpit is similar to the KX / CRF Japanese style. Rider triangle is on the smaller side but comfortable in my opinion. I've always ran the STV bar bend (low, swept back) so i like the smaller bike feel. The RM-Z has little down low power, aggressive coupler gives it some more in the mid to top but very similar to the CRF I'd say. Only ridden the new RMZ's in stock form though, would love to put an exhaust and an ECU tune on it and see!
