Hi! When the Alfa line first came out, my parents were among the first buyers. As such, the factory "hired" them to be road testers, giving them a new model every 6 or so months to take and use/abuse anywhere and as much as they wanted. After the 7th or 8th hitch model, the factory bought my folks a heavy duty Ford F-150 to start hauling around the new 5th wheel line. They ended their 15 year odyssey with Alfa, after a little over 700,000 miles, in 22 different models, and were rewarded by Alfa for their loyalty with the latest 5th wheel, 42ft, fully loaded executive model, and a brand new Ford F-350 with all the bells and whistles.

There is really no difference in size/roominess between the two model years. The 2021 has so many new feature upgrades I strongly recommend the 2021.

Hey, I hope this is not too personal, but I'm negotiating on a Tab 320, boondock edition. Because demand is high, I know some dealers will not budge too far. I've read on forums to start negotation at 35% off the MSRP. Does this seem like a good start , what has been your experience? I'm curious to know since you are one of the few people I've come across that have bought new. THanks!

I don't think dealers are going to budge because they cannot keep trailers in the lot. It's a seller's market.

Hi Jean, Excellent intelligent review. I have been up in the air for almost a year about getting a Tab 320 Boondack or a Lance 2085. My vehicle is a 2018 Jeep Cherokee Eco-disel with a towing capacity of 7600 lbs. So either trailer works. However the purpose of getting a trailer is for weekend camping. I still work and so does my wife. Towing 6000 lbs on the lance 2085 vs. the Tab 320-S is world's apart. The height factor of having a trailer that is 10 ft height vs 6'9" is also a factor in my decision. My wife (I love her) insists on the Lance 2085 at 25 ft length while the Tab 320 including hitch is less than 16 ft. My wife isn't into outdoors and we aren't ever going to agree on this so I'm going to get the Tab 320-s Boondock edition. I love the outdoors and I want to take my dog Gomez with me who loves adventure and go camping. Thanks Jean for helping me out. Keep up the great work!

@@JennGroverPhotography I have the women’s Disco Bag. I loved the color of of the bag and the front air vents but it sheds feathers non-stop. I contacted Moosejaw where I purchased it and they were not very helpful so I let it go. I just ordered a Selk’bag. It is a wearable sleeping bag. You have to check these out if you haven’t already. They are not for everyone but I loved them. I’ll know more about it when I get it. They were on back order.

The selling point for the Stratloft for me is the pocket to hold the sleeping pad. I HATae sliding off a sleeping pad all night. You should reach out to Nemo customer service. Shedding hasn't been an issue for me.

We had a 2014 T@B and used it for 5 years and really liked it. But we started going long distance and windier places prevented us from setting up our attachment tent so we missed the extra room. T@B 's are excellent quality but one thing you need to know about bigger teardrop trailers like this is that when you tow them at higher speeds the aerodynamic drag increases to the point that a lightweight trailer becomes a 3000 lb trailer. We now have a Prolite Evasion that weighs 2100 lbs (has the optional AC) and we get better mileage towing it than we got with the T@B. Quality wise the Prolite is not as good as the T@B but Aero wise far superior. The cassette toilet would have been a deal breaker for us if our T@B had that. The inconvenience is not worth the weight savings.

Having come from a back tank to a cassette, I can tell you that for me, the benefits far outweigh any perceived downsides. In addition to either dumping at a FHU site or at the dump station as I leave like I normally would, I can also dump at put toilets or other bathrooms and even at home. It really wasn't about the weight saving, IMHO. They were able to expand the freshwater tank capacity to 18 gallons and it is less intimidating for first time RV owner's who are afraid of the black tank. Love your video, very thorough and detailed. I’m a single 60+ who likes to hike and enjoy outdoors. I’m looking to do more adventures and think owning a teardrop camper would be fun. But I’m a little intimidated by hauling it and the maintenance costs, etc. A few things I’d like to know is how much can you expect to spend on a model like yours? What is cost of insurance? Is it easy to sale or trade-in? How do you store it during months it’s not in use? Do you have other videos on hitching and unhitching the camper? Any safety trips while at campsites? It’s refreshing a to see women doing so many camping adventures. Thank you!!!
