I agree with 1 and 2. Jessica and Yoshida are 2-2 in their matches against one another, but Jessica one the last 2 which were in 2019. Those were just bronze medal tour matches though, so the stakes have never been so high, and it's arguable that they have ever met each other on their best day. Stylistically, drop seio players like Jessica can be tough for Yoshida. Dorjusen who is in Yoshida's bracket is another drop seio player and is 3-3 against Yoshida, though their last match was 4 years ago and Dorjsuren is now 30 and has faded over the last few years.

I believe that Liparteliani will make it quarter finals. 1. Klimkait (CAN) 2. Gjakova (KOS) 3. Yoshida (JPN) 4. Cysique (FRA)

Canada used world championships results to determine who goes. Jessica won gold, Christa lost bronze medal match.

only 1 Canadian can represent. And from what I remember, the Canadian team decided based on the results of Budapest. Deguchi lost in the semis (i think) and Klimkait end up winning gold.
