Cool video. I put the white plastic parts in the hood first and then screwed the screw through the bracket to the hood. I suppose it works either way. It did not come with instructions so thankfully your video and others I found helped me through the process

Nice mods! Debated a while on the exhaust tip until I saw your vid., just ordered one now!! You gotta part # on the hood deflector? Didn't know there was an OEM version. Hoping it fits my 2018 TRD Off-road Premium.

It should fit the 2018! all the 5th gen runners have the same hood I believe, even with/without the scoop, the silhouette is still the same if I'm not wrong And sorry but I do not have the part # on hand. We got ours direct from the dealership, so I would advise checking there, or going to any dealership online and just searching per vehicle, they should be able to ship it direct to you :))

They just came in and I installed them last night. They’re not too bad actually! I had to remove all the adhesive it came with bc I was worried it wouldn’t hold up over time. But that was easily replaced with a roll of 3M adhesive from the store. It was made from pretty strong/thick plastic. Thicker than the OEM overlays from our badge blackout video a couple weeks ago. However, because of this. It wasn’t AS perfect of a fit/tolerance as oem. Which is to be expected lol Overall, I’d recommend. It does the job, is pretty cheap(cost wise), looks way better than plasti-dip and is way less of a headache than vinyl wrapping the awkward shape. Again not perfect like OEM. But does the job! :)) best of luck to ya!

@@Corteezy thanks for the reply brother! No more chrome showing right? And yeah i was gonna do the plasti dip way but this way seems more “permanent”, i would do the steps you did though and get rid of the double sided tape it came with and buy me some 3M good quality double sided tape from my hardware store. Edit: only wanting to black out those chrome pieces till’ i can afford the trd pro grille for the 2021’s, they seem to upped the price for em because of the “little” cutout to make room for the sensors.

@@RCGJR_ Yep! majority of the chrome is now gone on our 4R. All the badges are matte black now :) Just a small piece on the side mirrors (unique to the premium cars) and the interior door handles. They aren't much of a bother though. Agreed, overlays look much more permanent/factory spec than paint or dip. But If for whatever reason you decide to sell your stock grill when you upgrade to the TRD Pro, you can always heat up the adhesive with a heat gun or a hot hair drier, and with enough elbow grease, should clean off like it was never even there :)) That TRD grill is gonna look sick! Excited for your build!

he said on another comment he got it from the Toyota dealer. It also says Toyota on it and rides a bit higher than the others. I think it looks cool
