Hahahha it's even worst for me I'm torn between 4runner lunar rock or army green or tacoma army green or cement 🤪🤪🤪

@@mannycali334 I would be in that exact same predicament haha. So many cool colors. One thing I will note is the 4Runner pro colors seem to stay more rare where one year a color will be unique for the pros on tacomas and then the next year they will just offer that same color on like every trim level. So resale may be better with a unique color 4Runner

@@mannycali334 4runner all day for me. I bought one about a month ago, traded my beloved 2012 taco, was looking for a 22 taco but then I test drove the 4Runner and fell in love

Cool walk around! Just wanted to mention that TRD Pros come with a 1 inch front lift from factory, not 2 inches. Anyway, that’s a really nice 4Runner :)

Are those 33s or 35s? Couldn't tell by the size given in the vid. Thanks!

@@briangilley634 Sick! Yeah I have 33s on mine...though my build walkaround is massively out of date. 285/70/17 is like the biggest to go with minimal adjustment to fenders, plastic etc and I still think the power is just fine without a regear. Also if you do go to 33s and you use the TRD Pro rims I have a hunch that tires are harder to balance on a narrower rim, still working through that theory a bit. People always say that it is just fine but I think that stuff may slightly balance and wear funny and it will cause humming over time. I just mention that to say you might be better off selling your TRD Pro rims as new right off the bat if you are automatically going to 33s. Regardless! Stoked for you!

Just curious if he did any trimming or BMC and if it rubs on and off-road? I’m getting the Westcott lift for my 2020 TRD Pro and putting some 285/70//17 so I wanted to ask.

No trimming, did swap mudflaps. Minimal scrub, defiantly none while normal driving.

Hey man, I just stumbled across your videos recently while looking for inspiration for my 4runner. I have a plan for what I want but guess I dont really know what to start with. Any tips on where to start with mods?
@OverlandEngineer3 жыл бұрын
Awesome! I guess my first question would be what is your end capability for the vehicle and do you daily drive it? From there, hopefully I can help. Are you planning to spend a decent amount up front or ease into it?
@trevorsenter60893 жыл бұрын
@@OverlandEngineer It's my daily car, I'm also in college so that doesn't help haha. I definitely want to ease into it, but my end goal is offroad/camping. Thanks for replying to my comment!

@@trevorsenter6089 No problem! My first recommendation would be don't cheap out on lifts or tires. You will pay the price back on crappy stuff. Do after market upper control arms right away and plan for the extra cost. It saves tons of labor and time and keeping your vehicle in alignment longer will save you so much money on tires. Also, many people say stock UCAs are just fine but I think they don't keep the vehicle in alignment as well and sometimes shops are bad at getting the vehicle in alignment with stock UCAs over nice aftermarket ones. I believe that also lifting the vehicle may add extra stress on the UCAs so most aftermarket ones are stronger. I am not positive on that. I guess what I would prioritize if I was just getting into it and did not have too much to spend would be a sleeping platform, LED upgrade your low beams, All terrain tires, and maybe some LFD crossbars to go on the stock roof rack. If you have a few grand laying around then do a lift and tires at the same time so you do not have to buy smaller all terrains that you will hate once you lift the vehicle. Then do sliders but if you are smart then the lift on the right trails will protect you enough until you can add sliders. Wow, that answer was longer than I was planning haha.

Rule #1 to preserve vehicles value. Dont mod a single thing if all you're doing is visiting the local mall or hitting the highway for a family road trip.
