Nice job and a great tour. I appreciate the enthusiasm you brought to the review of such a low trim level. Were you being sarcastic when you said that the rear armrest with cupholders was "very tough to access"? I couldn't tell if you were joking. Also, I wish you would have mentioned Apple CarPlay and (new for 2021) Android Auto compatibility for the stereo head unit. I believe I've seen in other videos that the Map button actually brings up your default map app such as Waze, Google Maps, or Apple Maps if your phone is currently connected. Having CarPlay and Android Auto is key since it allows people to have excellent in-car entertainment and navigation without buying the factory navigation. Also new for 2021 is the update to TSS 2.5+. Making that change means that the Camry is finally an excellent choice for running OpenPilot, the aftermarket Lane Keeping Assist and radar cruise system from Comma.ai. OpenPilot running on a Comma 2 will give you hours of safe, hands-free driving, especially when cruising on the highway. The Camry has never been the best choice for running OpenPilot before, but now with the latest version of TSS, it performs just as well as we've ever seen on any Toyota. Check out Logan Legrand's channel for detailed explanations and demonstrations of its capability.

Wow thank you for such great advice I seriously appreciate it! The arm rest is a little tough to access because it’s packed really tightly in the rear seats, while not having a string or an opening to grip so you just have to jab your hand between the armrest and seat in order to open it up. Not a big deal at all but I wish Toyota added a string to pull the arm rest out. At 6:40 I briefly mentioned Apple car play / Android auto same with the Toyota safety sense while reading off of the window sticker, but I really appreciate your detailed explanation. I will 100% pin this comment so that anyone interested in buying this vehicle can have as much information as possible. Thank you for the support!

@@WTFCRLT1 thanks for your quick reply, I appreciate it. Sorry I missed you mentioning CarPlay/Android Auto. I did hear you mention the updated TSS, it's just such a big change for Camry I get a little too excited lol And thanks for the detail about the rear armrest. It looked so easy in the video I didn't consider that you may have loosened it up ahead of time.

Lol yes, me getting in the back seat was a second take because I spent like 15 seconds trying to open the arm rest in the first take. Definitely not a reason to not buy the car, just something I noticed along the way.

Just bought the same color and model Camry about a month ago brand new. So far loving it. Even my wife keeps asking me to drive it to work all the time and it's easy for her to drive as well. The power on it will surprise you if you get up on it. Surprising for a 4 cylinder. Amazing Car overall !

Wow that dealer's charging $1600 for tint, a pinstripe decal, and floormats that wouldn't cost more than $600 to pay to have done yourself, and $700 for the sealant scam. I used to run a high end detailing business and the best sealant you can buy is $50 a bottle, which would do a car 4-6 times. On a new car it wouldn't take an hour to apply, and it wears off within a year, not a lifetime of never waxing your car like they tell you. Just like the scene in Fargo. What a scam. Nitrogen is just air, not something to charge for. Some tire shops use it anyway, just because it won't expand and contract as much with temperature changes. The dealers near me, sell this $26K car for $26K and they include two years of free service and oil changes, AND free roadside assistance. That's not an add on. 3 year KAHU for $600? What in the hell is that? Lol. $600 "PERMAPLATE"? So they're charging you twice for the paint sealant "protection" they already charged you $700 for? Run from this dealer!

I can’t feature anyone would pay 10% over vehicle cost for this scam. Run from this dealership and tell your friends & enemies to stay away.

Just bought my 2021 camry le. I opted out of the xle because I cant have leather seats living in the desert. Way too hot! I am IN LOVE with the floating infotainment display. I have the mica gray 2021 and its perfect for me. Just the right amount of luxury with practicality. And on the trunk size, im 5'9" and me and my 8 year old both fit in the trunk at the same time lol
@WTFCRLT13 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the support! And I agree that leather seats aren’t always an upgrade, and the standard luxuries in this new Camry along with this new chassis and powertrain definitely makes the car a tremendous improvement compared to Camrys of the past. One of my best friends had a 2007 Camry LE and the differences are honestly night and day. Can’t say the same with a lot of Japanese vehicles especially from Acura. Thanks again!

What made up option is ‘permaplate’? I hate all these worthless add-ons that add 5% to 10% to the cost of the car. If everyone walked away from these dealerships they’d quit adding this garbage. If it’s taxable it’s negotiable, says ‘Your Auto Advocates’ channel. I’d guess a lifetime warranty is worthless, they’ll find a reason to deny you. Nice base model car overview.

I love Toyota cars. My mom has been owning a Toyota for 9 years and my first car I got last year was a Toyota. My only complaint about my Camry 2021 is that the gear shift rough sometimes and my rear view mirror was deflected and it made a shaken noice when driving on mildly rough roads. They will fix it soon. Other than that I like my car :)

@@SCA84 no they haven’t because they say it’s not a severe issue where they have to take anything apart it is just a “personal issue” overly observant they say. I don’t know what it is. It’s either the rear view mirror or the dash board. I wish they would just take the noise more serious, you know?
