I want to like the RAV4, I really do, but you can't even get it with leather interior at ANY trim level. For that alone, I'd rather have a Honda CR-V.

Actually, while it isn’t TRUE leather, it is still pretty close to it with it being Toyota’s SofTex synthetic leather. Sure, some may be like “but it’s not real leather” and others like “Ok, so it isn’t real leather, but close enough!” I guess I’ll find out for sure which camp I’ll be in, as come tomorrow, I’ll be test driving a Limited (which of course, comes with said SofTex synthetic leather, and depending on which options they get shipped with, not only heated, but also ventilated/cooled front seats). As far as I’ve seen for the few Limiteds I’ve looked at in both one of my local dealer’s (and a neighboring states one) stock, I’ve seen that pretty much any XLE Premium they get in will have the weather package equipped on them (which adds heated seats and a heated steering wheel) and also same for most of the Limited models they get in (which come standard with heated front seats from the get-go, but if equipped with its weather package, also adds on ventilated front seats, and heated seats for the driver and passenger side rear seats too).

Also, don’t know if all dealers would do this, but from some other videos that I’ve watch on here as I’ve been doing some initial research on the newest RAV4s, you actually may be able to get your dealer to do a leather upgrade, even if it’s on one of the lower trims in the base LE or the next one up in the XLE

You can get softex ( simulated leather) on XLE PREMIUM AWD models and up.
