I have a 2019 street twin in red, same spec as the gold line it’s a great fun bike, the torque is awesome. I changed the standard fitted tyres as I felt they were a little vague especially if it’s a bit wet and cold.

Great review. I love the Bonnevilles, although I might be a little biased as I own a T120. In fact it's my first bike (after my learner YBR 125). The Street Twin definitely handles a little better than the T120 as it's lighter. But every one of the Bonnevilles, Street Twin, T100, T120, Speed Twin, Speedmaster and Bobber have something for different people. Triumph have been quite clever in targetting different people with a very adaptable base. The engine note is beautiful and the first time I joined a motorway I nearly blew myself off the back of mine. Tunnels are a joy. The other really nice thing about modern Bonnevilles is the sheer number of aftermarket parts available for them. You really can make it a personal bike.

I've been watching videos on Triumph Bonneville T100, Bonneville T120 and the Speed Twin 900. Ans I've made my mind up, I WANT A SPEED TWIN 900 WITH THE RED TANK, MAYBE EVEN THE CHROME EDITION. I want one so bad that I've got my Harley up for sale. If I can sell my Harley before Spring I hope to have my first Triumph in my garage come Spring and I'm 70 years old. Maybe I waited until now to own the BEST. The only thing I don't care for on the Speed Twin 900 is the front brake master cylinder, it looks like an add on. I would rather see a rectangler one like the ones on the Bonnevilles, but I can live with the round one. Wish we luck with selling my Harley and buying my first Triumph. Ride safe and enjoy every journey.

for anyone that wishes to get a lower seat height on an already low seat height of these new Models, just simple order a seat from the older 2016 models as they have a 1-inch less foam, making the seat height 29.1 inches.

How usable is first gear? I'm hoping that one can hit around 40ish mph before needing to shift.

Not sure about 40mph in first but the bike had plenty of power.

Well, not all that honest. I found the Street Twin to be unecessarily noisy, given its limited bhp, and with the low frequency of that noise it became rather tiring to ride. Other than that, it's a very comfortable bike. Great for town and suburban use, not so much for journeys of any distance, due to lack of top-end power and the fact that it's naked.
