Not a big thing for them. They design bikes with operational., spares and service costs in mind. Spares of an Apache are much costlier than those of any Bajajs bike. Bajaj will implement them only when people start to stop buying the bikes or i say when sales decline occurs. Till then any one should live with P220, P160NS (dont know for which it is targeted for?), and P200NS/RS. Even TVS was not interested in giving a liquid cooled engine and highway friendly bike with more power and a sixth gear?? Ever thought why??

@Debjit Dey As i myself own a Bajaj bike, i beleive Performance itself will not be the onlu criteria for a bike to be successful bro. If thats the case NS200 should outperform Pulsar220 sales and should grab all sales from TVS. But thats not happening. Pulsar 160NS is a good bike but no where close to the sales of FZ or Apache 160 4V or even discontinued Hornet. Practicality plays an important role for many Indian buyers. Even though Apache 2004V has pathetic or useless pillion seat, in city/towns it will be better to ride than Pulsar200NS.

Getting up to the pillion seat is a little hectic but after being seated once it is quite comfortable and you have a nice grab handle to hold onto. Hope this helps

USD's are more prone to damages on our road conditions so it's probably not that big a miss. 6th gear does have its significance during long rides but in cities it is one more gear to shift. I had owned the first gen NS200 and the first batch had major issues with liquid cooling, my Avenger has oil cooling and it's been maintenance free.

@@ashinterceptor Yeah. Along with that I believe the HUD of rider in Apache is heck of a lot more satisfying in Apache than any other 200 CC. The clip-ons looks spectacular and digital instrument cluster really compliments the overall look. It's certainly better than even Duke 200.

Reliability won't be a concern for RTR 200 as it's proven engine over time & so the Honda engines which are always reliable, but in terms of riding dynamics RTR is better than Hornet, I would choose RTR any day over Hornet🙂
