I'm very new to archery, but my maths is good and I thought Vijaya won the first 3 ends. Therefore I don't see how the result announced can stand. Please correct me if I'm wrong because I am always willing to learn.

They swapped the names in the first 2 ends. After this mistake, in the 2nd end Lakshmi shot 7+8+10=25, Gildenhuys shot 7+10+7=24. Instead of this, the scoring was Lakhsmi:25, Ghildenhuys:26. How on Earth?

I have been in contact with USA Archery since Sunday *(the day after competition) concerning this matter. Please refrain from any further comment. Vijaya and I are awaiting an official ruling on this. (*Edited for clarification on dates).

Just watching the tournament it appears the scorers really screwed up - Vijaya obviously won the first 3 ends 23 to 21, 25 to 24 and 27 to 23 - therefore 6 love - what is going on ??

enjoyed the show. very difficult to perform in front of a crowd so much respect. i did question the use of plunger and drop away shelf on a barebow. a plunger allows any arrow to be adjusted to any bow with a screw instead of knowing form for a primitive bow like robin had. i felt barebow should be bare, not with adjustments.thank yew. good shooting. have fun

The camera angle is low - Raise the camera to her eye level and you can see it is well below her line of sight.

The judges did an outstanding job checking for this during equipment inspection. Same as last year the camera angle is deceiving. Let’s not make an issue, again, when there is no issue.
