2021 Volkswagen Atlas SEL Premium: Does This Compare To Other Three Row Crossovers???

Just got a 21 SEL Premium tonight. Tried all the major players, this one was the best for us. The 21 has a much better ride than the 20 btw. Looks better on the inside too.

Did you test the Pallisade? I am in between the Atlas and Pallisade .

@@janiceloeding2892 I did, The 21 Atlas rides much better and is quieter. the 20 Atlas was not as supple a ride. The Atlas has everything and more than the Palisade in highest trim at a better price point as far as negotiating goes. The Atlas will park itself and pull out while the Palisade does not. The Palisade has the blind view camera but it is almost useless in the rain on the highway. The Palisade was nice but I felt every bump and the Atlas is roomier. The Palisade seems almost gaudy now that I drove both of them multiple times. You will not be able to bargain at all on the Palisade but can on the VW because the Palisade is in the " gotta have it" portion of its intro, much like the Atlas was in 18. I went from gotta have an Atlas to gotta have the Palisade to gotta have the highlander hybrid back to the Atlas over a months time. I like the interior of the Atlas much more now after really liking the Palisade.

@@janiceloeding2892 we were also in same boat. Atlas rode better and didn't feel as gaudy as the Palisade or Telluride. Both Hyundai and Kia dealers wouldn't budge on rebates, pretty much told us they will sell themselves if we didn't buy. Ok then. Went to VW and got nearly 10k off on our Atlas. Win win for us on an awesome vehicle.

Hi there! Please make a review for 2021 atlas sel premium with RLINE package. What are the difference now with the RLINE package? Coz the 2019 Atlas sel premium with RLINE package they deleted some features.Like the power folding mirror, are view/360 camera and park assist. All of these are gone with Rline packge on 2019 atlas. Thanks

You can get all of those features on the 2021 SEL and ofc you can get R-Line on the SEL as well

Got the Racine green RLine in a SE model. Love the exterior look and trunk size. The panoramic sunroof is a killer. The plastic interior kind of sucks though. But I only paid $40k, so not much complains.

I like these, but honestly, for my needs, I would choose the Honda Pilot Black Edition. Between reliability, comfort, and appearance, I prefer the Pilot. Honestly, though, the Atlas is really nice too.

What's the more reliable engine for the longevity of the Atlas, the V6 or 2.0t? And which is cheaper to maintain?

Just bases on experience with motors in general, 4 cylinder turbos will wear out faster and turbos are pretty expensive as atand alone parts to replace. I do not know how this one will compare however

Just purchased our Atlas SEL 4 motion with the 3.6. Dealer said most people prefer the V6 over the 2.0t. More proven reliability wise and not giving up much mpg. We feel the 3.6 has plenty of power for our needs. Awesome vehicle!
