Bought a 2023 Hyundai Tucson Limited last winter. I tested most of the other crossovers. The RAV4 just seemed crude and cheap inside (materials), not as quiet and smooth on the road plus the driver's seat area was really tight for my long legs. It was more expensive and the dealers wouldn't budge on price too. Toyota definitely needs to redesign that model. Can't get by on "but it's reliable" forever.

I like the Tremor quite a bit & was going to go that route, but ultimately wanted a “turnkey” solution like the Raptor 37 (or even a Chevy ZR2). I knew that the Tremor would put me back on the path to an aftermarket lift & tires setup. Also, the Recaro seats in the Raptor 37 + front fascia styling all combined to sell me on the truck.

I don't think leaf springs are anything to bragg about.

I had an issue with my 4Runner some years ago, I also purchased the additional warranty. I needed to replace the front shocks and the warranty company said "oooooh, so sorry, we cover the struts not the shocks." I finally just bit the bullet after dealing with these idiots for hours. They should have been happy that it was a much less expensive shock rather than a strut, but nope! Anything to save a buck!

Simpler is almost always better. Other turbo based engines have proven that naturally aspirated engines are more reliable.

Curious to know if the Carfax history shows anything strange. I also think Toyota service can look up the maintenance history, if not, the Carfax report can provide some insight where the car was serviced in the past. You can call those places directly and look for anything that was done that is not showing on Carfax.
