Just got my Santana S AT last week and it is exceedingly comfortable. The spaces, the feel, the silence inside the car is superb. Fuel Economy is darn great when used on long distances. Got 20+ km/l while traveling for around 300kms. Great Value for money, plus only once a year PMS! Really happy to choose Santana as my first car!

Our POLO is already 7 years old and still works as new.. at first we are hesitant to buy the Volkswagen POLO in fear that we could not get a parts asap when time that it will need for any replacement or for repair..but we gamble our decision just because we are confident enough that this German car is tough.. and now we are very happy that we have just only replace minor parts on it and readily available in our nearby auto shop parts.. Volkswagen is a very recommended vehicle. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👍

Jettas are used as taxi cabs in northern regions in China widely, I've seen a few with 600k+ km on them and rode in one with 884k km back in 2016. Amazing car for the money.

Like many people I have a bias towards Japanese cars, and for good reason because they're incredibly reliable and affordable to maintain. That makes the Santana going against something like the Honda City something of an uphill battle. But the Santana GTS, the Wagon version of the Santana, is the only Estate Car/Wagon at the 1 million pesos mark and with no Japanese competition, it fills a nice niche.

I dont know why most Filipinos dream of having german-made automobiles. Sure, german-made cars were pretty much bulletproof in the 80s but most german automobiles today are basically over-engineered cars with lots of cheap plastic that will not hold over time. I'd rather have a Lexus, Toyota and a Honda as they are very reliable and build quality is far better.

@@altrinidad7474 I don't think so because I joined a Forum/Group in Facebook for Santana owners. Someone had a PMS for the Santana GTS it cost the owner 9K! If I am not mistaken that is on par with Japanese Brands!

I like the tail lights and the high shoulder line. The fascia maybe too bland for my liking but I'm thinking a Geely expanding cosmos grill would look great on it. I feel we can trade off the sunroof for a reverse camera, two toned alloy wheels and white pearl paint upgrade to help justify the price too.

This is on point. This car is a SAIC in most all practical terms, With a German badge for which they can pad their pockets a bit more with. Please folks, let’s not fool ourselves. Not trying to discourage anyone from buying this car but you should know what you’re getting. VW is pivoting to try and play the numbers game with Honda and Toyota; and They might succeed (on the sales sheet at least ), but they simply do not have the precision manufacturing firepower of their Japanese rivals. They are basically resorting to competing against the 2010 versions of their rivals.

Newbie here. Malayo ba talaga ang difference ng cost of service and maintenance ng VW Santana to Japanese sedans like Vios & City? It seems na yung unit prices ng Santana, Vios, and City are hindi nagkakalayo. So it will boil down to the expenses to maintain the car. Appreciate anyones thought on this :)

if you will compute the PMS cost alone for Vios Mitsu and other Japanese brands..mas mataas pa ang total cost nito combined yearly...sa Volkswagen..you only need to have your car sevice every 10k kilometers o yearly...

I think the styling is pretty intentional, since this SAIC-Volkswagen model is an entry level. It was intentional to put it into a nineties' like styling, hence the "dated" look. There's other great looking VW cars lately (the T-Cross is one example.)
