This is my dream truck . My buddy owns one and he told me working is like a vacation. He’s either at the dealer or at a motel waiting for the truck to get repaired .. I told him that’s how you gotta work instead of driving non stop you drive a couple hundred miles get towed to the nearest Volvo and have it worked on while you relax at a motel.

Beautiful truck. A lot of the “old school” drivers make fun of Volvos. They go on and on about how cool the KW’s and Pete’s look. I agree, they do look good, but I’ve always thought there was something sleek and sophisticated about the Volvo. I’ve driven every brand of truck on the road, and most every model and I have to say, for long haul driver comfort, ride, and storage, the Volvo beats them all hands down in my humble opinion.

Hello from Ireland. In Europe the Volvo iShift transmission is simply the best. Seasoned European truckers will tell you it's the best auto truck transmission out there. The vast majority of new Volvo tractors are sold with iShift, even the flagship FH16 750 in heavy haul spec. It amazes me how American truckers are so against truck auto transmissions in general.

Hello from Chicago! Thanks fir the comment hope you were able to like and subscribe! I Absolutely agree that the Ishift is the best transmission in the world. I wonder when Volvo will build an American truck based on the new(er) FH cab?
@zleepyINC3 жыл бұрын
about 2028 when EU trucks have an completely new in&outside look... the only "new" thing in this truck is the steering wheel, that dashboard, cluster and the rest is very very old... :P
@twentyyearsadriver17543 жыл бұрын
Probably never. vehicle length rules determine the design. Since we can be longer in the USA, we do not need to limit cab space at the cost of driver comfort.

@@twentyyearsadriver1754 guess lokis72 meant when usa will get the new interior that our 2020/2021 FH Volvo trucks have, and the new outside design, because your new 2021 VNL has the interior (dashboard / buttons) of our like 2012 design, but the new steering wheel :) Our new 2021 has a digital screen cluster and a digital side screen..but wish Volvo here in Sweden could build VNL for us also, that cabin is nice, spacey and so on :D

@@twentyyearsadriver1754 The present VNL is based on the old FH. I mean a new VNL based on the new FH.
@zleepyINC3 жыл бұрын
@@twentyyearsadriver1754 seems like you misunderstood (again) not talking about making the truck shorter or skip the hood, just about maybe giving you the new design (new headlights and interior) on the usa version of the truck... its kinda sad that volvo usa builds a new 2021 truck with interior design from eu truck before 2012... i like your VNL trucks, wish i had one, but dont like the dashboard, old style...

Jesus, rain sensing wipers is a massive selling point for US trucks?? They are pretty much standard on all euro trucks. A modern Scania looks like a spaceship compared to this.

Hi, could you give me the last 6 of the VIN # PLS, I just trying to add in my truck the mirrors turns Lights signal, thanks

Hmm I feel like these premium level trucks need to do something about all the hard textured plastic used on the interior. More leather, wood, ot upholstery would be nice as an option. Textured hard plastics scratch easy, don't feel nice, don't look that good, and are magnets for filth to cling to. Aside from that it's a great looking truck. Semi truck interiors are still a far cry from where commuter vehicles are these days.

That is why i will never buy anything other than a good ol’ Peterbilt or Kenworth, real attention to detail and too notch quality, with a a respectable eaton 18 speed, not that weird push button they put on those right lane queens

Just more gadgets to go out and cause frustration.... Never been a fan of the new trucks... I'll take the 2007 379ex over almost anything... Not disrespecting this truck by no means the fuel savings alone are worth it's price. Probably rides like a Cadillac as well... Nice Truck... But after 30yrs there is no place in the future for me... Just turned 50 and got 3 Million Miles and 12 more to go.... I hope I hit 5 million but i doubt it... Cheers !!

I hope you do as well. It’s amazing how they keep stacking up. Volvo has done a great job of improving the ride for everyone and really helped keep seasoned drivers driving. The comfort alone might help keep you behind the wheel for the next 12

i dont understand why the US trucks have the old dasboard, wich was changed 5-6 years ago in Europe
@ethanh81893 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same. Very outdated dash
@davidjames01063 жыл бұрын
Agreed. The exterior looks great, but once the door opens and you see the interior it just ruins the whole package. Looks very outdated and bland / cheap.
@btsmith3 жыл бұрын
Because in America they milk us for as long as they can with cheap outdated goods until sales drop drastically. Until then...I am sure nothing much will change for another 5 years. Even with no justifiable reason in price increases it's sad.
