Also, these trucks shake like crazy on the road. I've experienced this way too many times driving the cascadia; also, it sways too much, it's hard to keep it centered between the lines.

You're not lying about the sway. I'm used to my peterbilt 387, I borrowed a cascadia and had to take curves way slower because the truck swayed too juch in the turns.

You will find somebody who hates every make and model of truck out there! I spent a lot of time in Cascadias with the stand up sleeper. My last 2 years of driving before I had to guilt due to health issues, I was assigned a 2017 tall roof with a DD15 and ten speed manual. It was a great running truck, geared to run the highway-I accidentally found myself going 85 once in Maryland just rolling with the traffic. It had the DPF system which never gave me any trouble. Rarely needed to add engine oil. Loved the interior room, was easy to move around in. Of course, just my personal take; pick the truck or car for that matter with the worst reliability and you will find 1 or 2 folks who wouldn’t have anything else! Life is funny like that. This is the same guy who tried to say that Alex, the truck guy, got fired from GP Transco when he's completely wrong. I currently drive for GP, and when I went to orientation, I asked the head people there if he was fired. They all said he left on his own to do his own thing, which makes sense considering Eric has over 1 million followers on KZbin. So, the money he makes from that is obviously better than working for a trucking company. This man knows nothing. All trucks can have issues-I don’t care what manufacturer you get them from; they can have failures. I would know; I’ve driven nearly every make and model in my 15 years of driving, from every new style truck-Volvo, Mack, Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, International, Western Star-to the old school trucks. I even had a Kenworth W900L 86" studio with a Cat 3406E and 18-speed transmission, and the engine blew a head not to mention it also leaked oil like crazy.

Cascadia equals trash especially the facelifted 2019 models that have the unreliable Detroit DD15 motor. Drive a Freightliner Coronado with a 60series glider . Them trucks drive soft because they have air ride like Volvos . Who cares if engines leak oil. What I learned from diesel engines that at some point they all leak oil. Don’t mean it’s unreliable . If your CAT engine blew . Either was a defect of a part from the CAT manufacturer or whoever did the rebuild used Chinese parts(which by the way is a common thing ) Also if you want to comment about Alex do it in the proper video and not in a video that’s only about a truck that was published a year before the Alex video . Also my source were from GP Transco and that’s why I made the Alex video. Don’t shoot the messenger.

Also to finish my response. I heard more good about CATS, old Detroits and old Cummins than about the DD15 money waster

Also I had good experience with a lot of old engines . 1st Gen ISX was reliable for me and same with 12.7 Detroit 60series as well as the CAT C15 and the 14 liter 60 series Detroit and the Cummins N14 The engines the gave me issues were the International Maxxforce, Paccar, and the DD15 Detroit. I can go to almost any Freightliner dealer and there will probably be tons of Cascadias sitting waiting for some issue to be fixed. Way too many issues on them. I have almost never seen Coronados or any glider trucks in the dealerships. Oh ya before you say dealers don’t work on gliders you would be wrong, they actually do especially if it’s a Freightliner Coronado. I even had a Volvo VNL670 that had a Cummins N14 swap in it and a Freightliner dealership replaced an injector for my boss

I’m just a company guy and currently I have not seen a Cascadia 2019 and up with a Cummins. I think they only come with the dumb DD15. But at least you can order it with a manual.

Driver always a driver. I've been driving my 2016 for almost 2 years. Yes, I removed a lot of stupid stuff. I cut off the lane camera. Disconnect that stupid wire that will ding ding when the door is open when park break is released. Removed the passenger cabinet. Dumped the passenger seat. Threw away the old pair headlight and replaced it with the best led HL. Insulated the entire Cab. Intalled solar panel. Swaped out the junk lead acid batteries with AGM31. Have a honda EU3000is inside a box behind the Cab. Installed a fantastic fan. and much more.. The truck runs great. No oil leak. No missing oil. You're having problems with the truck is because it has not been taken care of propertly. It's not your truck so don't complain.

@@EddieV19 The truck cab isolators and bushing are used up that is why it rocks everything in the cab. Look around on the Interstate what brand of truck do you see the most? Freightliner right? When a truck reached a 500, 000 miles big company like Werner and Swift will either aution and sell off their old truck inventory. Imaging how much weigh and abuse it went thru with different inexperience drivers. Second hand owner need to replaced all those bushings, repairs much more. It depends on your luck too. You'll get what you paid for. Sit in a brand new Freightliner and you'll know exactly what I am talking about. In your case, you don't have a choice because you're just a driver. You don't understand or know how to fix anything. All you do is drive the truck and went something goes wrong. You call road service and the owner takes care of the rest. That's why you have a driver mentally. You don't understand anything about trucks. Just because you ride a used up and poor maintenance truck you concluded that all Freightliner trucks are trash. That's a very bad speculative uneducated conclusion.

I actually called out Freightliner on Twitter a long time ago with a video that I made demonstrating the throttle lag and the lag between shifts especially when turning. I even pointed out how fast the traffic was closing in on me that was a LOT further down the road when I initially started and yet I barely made it across the road in time because of all the pauses and lagging between the throttle and shifting. Funny thing they never responded. It's literally dangerous

To replace the one box DPF system is fifteenth thousand dollars. Knock sensor is $ 2500 Regen aft regen after regen. The DPF system can drive you out of business. Windshield leaks can cost you thousands because water wet the computer. So much problems with these trucks.

Actually knock sensor is about $200-$400 DPF filter is $1000-$4000 just google it. What you mentioned is actually dealer rip off prices

That’s something that can happen in any make and model. I drive the same truck, but the problem is that people won all these fancy sensors and that comes always with problems. The one I drive doesn’t have the lane keeping assistance or the proximity sensors and he works great without it about the right quality I give it to you since I’m used to the Kenworth T6 80 bought on the automatic transmission shifting. It’s true that it does shift by itself, but you can always prevent it by shifting up and down before it does. But there one of the best if not the best trucks on fuel economy in the market right now if you get them without all those fancy sensors and a Cummins engine you got a truck for life.

To make money I’ll drive anything But with that job at that current time it was my first time in a 2019+ Cascadia the older ones I drove before that had been swapped with glider engines and drive way softer . They Cascadia is nothing but a hunk of junk. If I buy a 2019+ Cascadia I’ll stretch the frame and put paint matched fenders and chrome bumper and visor with chicken lights. And also I’ll delete the junky DD15

@@EddieV19 I just don’t think it’s true I have never seen a Freightliner that didn’t have a bleeder cable, they do leak around the valve cover but that’s a common issue with almost all diesel engines, and Freightliner with Mercedes engines aren’t DD13 or 15 and no def system is worth a shit! And the reason you can’t feel the power is because it’s an automated transmission shifted by computer not rpm’s the cascadia is a very good truck for hauling what they were built for and that’s dry van or refers and because most people don’t have the mentality to shift a manual transmission I do agree that most of the drivers in any automated transmission driven truck are just steering wheel holders! But for city and bumbing docks there great trucks and the DD15 is a very good engine. (not as good as a series 60)but a good engine great fuel economy! And plenty of power with manual transmissions
