If your alright with signing up for the software, it's easy. Hit up the guys at AAKPS.com. They are in Texas as well. Very good to deal with.

I was able to do a 2023 c40 which is a smaller version of the xc40 with key tool Plus and the solder less adaptors once I read the cem I was able to add keys no problem wondering why it worked on a newer one and not on a older Volvo thanks for the video good thing to know to have a back up to do these if vvdi doesn’t work I will be most likely joining that website seems like it could help thank you love ur videos keep them coming

Thanks for the compliment. VIDA is so expensive and difficult that I'll only be using it as a back up plan if all else fails.

I did one of these XC40 with Autel Im608, soldering. At the time I didn't have KTP and adapter. So used IM608 ,removed CEM, bench read flash file and saved. And program key on vehicle with file. Worked fine. Just a thought.

Thanks for the comment. I considered using Autel but I didn't want this trouble car to be my first experience. I'll try soon.

Good to know about Nastf at this point you will have so many laptops 😅😅 nice video ... dont mixed oem software good tip

I have to admit I'm still excited buying new Laptops. I'm up to 6, plus my Macbook now.

You don’t need different laptops. There is a way to partition and create separate versions of windows boot up. It’s like having completely separate laptops on one. That way you can install each manufacturer on its own version of windows and not interfere with the others. L1 Automotive has a video on how to do it.

Great point. I'm a huge fan of Mr. Perkins and his channel. The other factor to consider is having all softwares on one laptop is like putting all eggs in one basket. I thought about what would happen if that laptop got lost, stolen, or needed repair. I don't like the idea of not being able to do any cars at all. If one of my laptops goes down, I can work around it better this way.
