Autel XP200 FAIL!

I'm dealing with a similar scenario I have a 2011 BMW X5 the IMO CAS++. I NEED A 508 with a 400 Pro. Or a 608. And the other tools could probably do it but they have to have a reason to sell this higher end stuff or there's no purpose.

Thank you for this heads up! I just ordered a new 508S and it's supposed to arrive first of the week. I have emailed Autel US support to ask if they will update the software, or is the XP200 basically now rendered ineffective. I may have to return the unit straight away. Bummer. BTW, you might want to put "IM508 XP200 problems" or something in the title or description to attract more attention to the issue.

For generation universal keys: I use the KM100 everyday.

Seems to me autel doesn’t care about the xp200 so they aren’t updating it most people get the 400 anyways so autel most likely doesn’t care to support the 200

I don't think so. I think the issue is with the XP-200.

Little things that make you stop using some tools... when we wanted buy km100,rep told us to get im508s that is better tool,as i see it 5 month use time km100 and 508s are same and maybe little better but you need xp400 for 508s .... so you get it.

I noticed the panic button function is not available on toyota universal generation.

The km100 can't do diagnostics

Correct. It's a very basic tool. However, it can be used on these new universal Toyota keys. The 508/XP-200 can't.
