Hi put mine on today to find all push pin screws are just spinning.. I had to basically snap them off to get them out.. Previous owner taking them off for some reason.. Must have just pushed them back in like standard push pin ones.. I've actually seen this done watching other install videos.. If job going to be done do it right. Just like your video..

Nice mod, I'm gonna do the same on mine.. as soon as I get it. I'd have thought that you replace the side protection as well, those in aluminium from Yamaha look pretty nice in my opinion, better looking than the plastic ones. Cheers.

Does yours flex a bit in the Center of the rad guard like it’s not sitting completely flush ?? My guard kinda bows inwards slightly and makes little creaking sounds!!

Yari, I don’t know how you got those push/screw pins out. Mine just kept spinning and spinning. I even put a dental pick behind them. I finally ended up destroying them with needle nose pliers to get them out. After that everything was easy.😋 I guess I’ll be ordering some new push/screw pins from Yamaha. What crap! I wish they had a better system. Do you have to take out those push pins to replace the front turn signals?

I still haven't managed to get my radiator shrouds off, those push pins don't wanna undo. I have a radiator guard with the MT logo in the centre of it and it installs the same way the evotech one does but the shop put a Yamaha radiator guard on before I bought it and it mounts at the top and bottom
@yamayari83513 жыл бұрын
You may have to use a tool like the one I have. Apply pressure to the back side of the push pin and reverse it really slow. That’s how I removed one as well. It was not wanting to reverse off.

Ya, it is a pain! Luckily you can replace those pretty easily. Dealer or some knock off replacements. I used a pick tool like in the video an wedged it in between the screw and fastener an like you said slowly back it out. Came off no problem. Just frustrating for sure.
