Tools needed: 8mm hex, 14mm socket
Blue locktite
Torque wrench: top bolt 45 Nm, 33 lb ft
Bottom bolt 60 Nm, 44 lb ft

Useful vid - just installed the same bars on my Tracer 9 GT. For me, these are the only bars that don't detract from the look of the bike.

Thanks for the video! i was looking at the stock crash bars from Yamaha but they feel alot uglier and intrusive, as to oppose this ones look nice and clean and the price is about 113€ less!

Quality video! Wish I had seen this before i installed my Puig sliders. They had recommended 40 ft/lbs for both bolts which is vastly different from the values you got from the service manual. Now I’m wondering if I need to take them out and re-torque…

Hi, is it possible to remove right fairing to fulfill coolant without disassembling right crash bar ?

Great video man, I was thinking of going into service for this. But I might do this myself eventually. Question though: where did you apply loctite? on the screws or inside the slot for them? Cheers!

I apply the locktite on the screws. You can see the blue locktite at about 3 min 30 sec in.

can you still remove the side panel with the crash bars installed?

Yes you can. Just did a video on removing side panels to get to the ECU, didn’t have to take off the crash bars.

Would these protect all plastics / fuel tank / indicators at a zero speed drop? Many thanks

They stick out enough that everything should be protected. Im not sure about the engine covers though, that’s why I bought protectors for those.

what god did you please to find a comfort seat in the US ?

I had to order from Canada, lots more accessories available there for some reason. I found a Canadian dealer in Ontario since that province is closer to where I am in the US. They shipped it to me no problem. They also have a whole bunch more accessories in Canada, maybe search Yamaha Canada accessories and check out that website.

I’m in Canada and I got the seat fairly quick through my dealership and it is in a small town.
