2022 07 27 Cox Helicopter with Jim R

Trying to fly a Cox helicopter after 23 Years. The last time it was flow with his boys it flew, now trying to fly it with the grand children, it won't fly. The engine was changed because the original was seized. Here we are testing after his grandchild left. I'm thinking the centrifugal force is forcing all the fuel away from the pickup tube. Have any ideas why this doesn't fly?

Needed to be leaned out singing a song and the blades have to spool up before tossing it. But at least it couldn't fly away that way! These are the toys that made America great!

@@kevinwillard4443 I had a .020 yellow one, as soon as I let go the wind blew harder than it had in months all the sudden, it's been in the top of a 40ft oak tree ever since can't get it down for nothing

Have you found the other two rotor blades? It’ll fly fine with all four installed.

We lost the coast guard version, got it's rotor spinning and went up into the wind and it was gone!

Same happened to me, went 100 yards to pick it up. it was amazing that moment shared with my dad. I was probably 12

35 percent nitro and need to lean out the engine more to bring the RPMs up. They fly ok for what they are.

Check the fuel tank it sounds like it might be not sealing very good .

it seems to be great I received one but I don't know what type of fuel to put and if we can put thermal car fuel remote control

Go to your local hobby store and see what they recommend. Here is fuel from Amazon www.amazon.com/PowerMaster-PowerBlend-Airplane-Castor-Synthetic/dp/B00VR4ZYEA/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=model+airplane+fuel&qid=1692757426&sr=8-3 you will also need a 1.5volt battery and glow head connector.

Traxxas fuel is the worst thing you can run in Cox engine. There isn't enough castor oil.

Missing two blades ,needs more caster oil fuel as Traxxas fuel isn't good for it.
