Kiefer Oklahoma here go ou. Wow my aunt live in your hometown but in the county with a lot of cows. I remember she used to come here every year for a week and sometimes twice a year. As just a little kid remember her showing me some pics of them feeding the cows and snow drifts would b taller than the fence

Congratulations! Thanks for showing us the loop! We want to do it someday but on a boat! Enjoy some down time and getting back to reality.

Thanks Diane! Doing it on a boat would certainly be more relaxing and enjoyable. Less Mount Everest, more Island Life.

Congrats dude! Hell of an accomplishment💪 I've been prepping 3 vintage 2stroke skis for the Chesapeake Bay loop out of Annapolis MD. After seeing your journey it's clear there's much bigger fish to fry. Could use a battle tested 4stroke. Please reply with current hours and price...after celebrating of course!
@MichaelStraubSeaDooLooper2 жыл бұрын
Small 2-stroke machines would have it's own challenges -- mostly that they cannot cut through the smaller waves like the newer, larger skis. It would be a jarring ride even in the small stuff.
@dockterjon2 жыл бұрын
@@MichaelStraubSeaDooLooper Larger 4 person skis (LRV) but still rough ride for sure!

Michael, what can we say about this adventure you have taken on?? Words wouldn’t even come close to describing it. Man not sure how you healed😂 it together at the end of your video log while crossing the finish line. Seeing some of your family & friends there just supporting you and cheering 🎉 you on. Man I had shedded a few tears for y’all. Thanks so much for bring us along for the journey. I truly truly enjoyed every minute of it. Get some much needed rest and family time in. Can’t wait to hear about stats & numbers. PS: That ski is just broken in! Billy D

I just watched all your great loop videos. Awesome and congratulations. I feel like I know you now. What program do you use to map your progress and put camara and rocket stamps on it. Thanks Y Wait.
@MichaelStraubSeaDooLooper2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching - and glad you enjoyed it!! I used a GPS-Tracking app on my phone (Maprika - free) for the GPS log. I would then import that into another app on my phone called "Relive" (paid version). Relive is what created the Map with the pins and pictures. It will take the GPS log, and then auto-match your pictures you took on your phone (which have embedded time and GPS information) - and automatically place the pictures on the route. Relive tends to group pictures, so the GPS placement is not always 100% -- but it is close and you can edit it. Once I had the Relive (map) video created, I would use another phone app called "YouCut" to do the final video editing, where I brought in other videos -- such as from my 360 camera (which had yet another app for ITS video editing). It was a lot of work but I was pretty happy with the results -- especially for just a 'rookie' with no editing help!!

Congrats, Mike!......Enjoyed following your journey!.......My only question.......How many pounds did you lose?
@MichaelStraubSeaDooLooper2 жыл бұрын
I actually gained a few pounds -- only because I ate WHATEVER I wanted, and lots of it. I tried to stay ahead of the calorie burn rate. That, and I added a few pounds of muscle!!
@thomasbrown7822 жыл бұрын
@@MichaelStraubSeaDooLooper Yea, absolutely it is ALL muscle!

Congratulations brother! I’ve got a few of questions for you. How many days of actual riding to complete the loop? What was your average speed for the trip? Will you loop again? How do you feel about a group ride?
@MichaelStraubSeaDooLooper2 жыл бұрын
Love the questions... I plan to do a Q&A video, and will answer these in that video if that's ok. If you have more, send them my way!
