Great Vid I have MTR as well Dont have bore scope I do know the MTR is a tight barrel do you know if most standard bore scopes feed ok.Been wanting to pick up a “budget” bore scope.

I agree, my theory is also that rimfire fouling lossens/softens up after first shot.

Exactly what I see with my CZ457. The perfect place for the bullet lube, lead and powder to melted and cause problems. Some heavy brush action with a little oil and some JB to shine it up every 200 rounds is the necessary. Keep up the good work, I enjoy watching your channel.

Teslong brand on Amazon. Very inexpensive. They have several versions. I have one for the rifles and two for pistols.

I haven't heard that theory before now but I reckon it's the best theory I've heard so far. Something I've tried only a couple times but seems to work for the cold bore shot is an old Benchrest idea that I heard of a few years back, is to run a wet patch of shellite down the bore & get the throat area good & wet before a couple dry patches to mop it up. I'm thinking maybe now that you mention your theory that the shellite might either soften the carbon or lube it up which diminishes the effect on the cold bore shot. Excellent looking barrel by the way.

hi Joe, I was watching a build/tune video of a CZ455 ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXy4dHqAjracnq8) and found this in the comments-- "I've actually never cleaned it. I'm not a big fan of cleaning as you just need to refoul the barrel to get your accuracy back afterwards. However, if accuracy starts to go south I will clean it. Haven't had to with this rifle yet. I do clean the bolt and chamber though. I use frog lube cleaner and lube very lightly. I would use a one piece coated rod and a bore guide as not to damage the chamber or crown. Solvents are a matter of preference. " have you ever shot a gun until it really goes south?

After each shooting session I wet a patch with BoreTech C4 carbon remover and with a jag push the wet patch right into that lead area and let sit. After it sits 15-20 min I will work the patch back and forth for several short strokes. Second patch the same but when done push all the way through. Next I wet patch just like the first one and if it does not come out clean usually a fourth patch does it. After the last wet patch I send a couple dry patches through then a lightly oiled patch to finish. Bore scoping with this method shows area forward of the chamber free of carbon. Notice I only push one patch of C4 through the barrel.

Hi Joe, and then there's this guy, (kzbin.info/www/bejne/hne3on6YpLmEpJY), take the barrel off the gun and give it the vinegar/peroxide clean. sure is a wide range of opinions on cleaning.

Yes, one can read all kinds of cleaning methods. I'm thinking I'll just try developing one that works with my barrel and my ammo. Too many variables.
