Just finishing watching the video! Spool looks pretty accurate and that’s kind of what I found as well. It doesn’t cast super far but low weight lures def further than stock and I think the casting seems more consistent than stock for low weights. Awesome vid as always buddy!

At the beginning of the vid you went to adjust the spool tension and I was thinking “What’s wrong with that reel?” I fish lefty reels. Lol. I’ve been starting to think about a lightweight spool for the Curado, but this makes me think about one for the Alde too! And then that trout! Man! Nice fish. Great video.

I’ve been using the AMO spool from AliExpress on my 16 Alderbaran and TBH the spool is good it’s just that it needs a good amount of brakes to not backlash Then again I’m using 20 lb braid from varivas

This reel is the "butterface" version. Smoking body and performance but that damn brake dial is hard to look at. Such a weird design for a reel that will lead the pack for possibly 4-5 years before update.

You can salt water fish with the original setup. This spool I can't honestly say if it's salt water safe. If someone else could contribute an answer that would be great.
