Sfv2 is just an extremely overpriced middleweight, there's no power under 8k (it's a special v2 with no torque), that engine doesn't make any sense in a naked bike, it also runs hot and vibrates your butt; fit and finish is disappointing for the price, so are the screen, transmission, brakes, lack of cruise control and fuel gauge. The suspension is alright, and it does feel very light and small, would be a decent beginner bike for a crazy amount of money considering it's more expensive than a base tuono v4, can basically have mt10 sp for sfv2 money 🤣

I can only say that my Tuono has never given me any issues whatsoever over 15,00kms of use, and of the 6 bikes I have owned it is the one I decided to keep permenanty. And actually a Triumph is the only one to give me any mechanical issue at all. Make of that what you will I guess.

Yep I got a piece of crap that burns a quart of oil every 1500 miles so I have to pack oil in my backpack when I ride my shiny new Aprilia. Dealer tells me oil burning is normal for these machines and as a bonus they tell me get ready for oil leaks that are also normal for these machines. i had aprilia tuono v4 2021. the same, touring one, also had akropovich exhaust. bike is fun to ride, but it's a weekend toy. if you want to ride it to work every day, forget it. very twitchy/jerky, even in rain mode, has a ton of extra things that regular ride that never goes to track needs, AND they interfere. like i never used turn signals in city on it, simply because, my thumb would never reach the button, instead i had the traction control button by my thumb (like y?). the bike is literally a super sport with hand bars and street adopted sprockets. Also big thing no one mentions, bike runs hot, and on a hot day in city, in traffic, or on long traffic lights it will overheat. I live in NYC, every time i went to brooklyn summer time, i would have it overheat. On a highway that goes to Manhattan, i could have to ride between cars to maintain enough speed for it to not overheat, which is not only illegal but dangerous in such congested traffic. Asides from that, sure bike is fun, goes VERY fast, power in every gear in every power band, it only drops off a bit after 150 miles on speedometer. Also the akropovich exhaust, it's fun and all, but if you want it as a daily driver, after first week, you will get tired of hearing it, even with good helmet, it's too loud and will inevitably start bothering you. Basically, if you never take aprilia on a track, dont buy one. Also if you live in a city, dont buy one.
@Asmodeius2 жыл бұрын
Also to mention, i see the guy has akropovich on aprilia. and that's a 2021 model. my man, where did you found a race ecu for it or a flash? i tried nearly everything available, couldn't get a flash nor ecu. in personal experience, modding aprilia is the most pain in the butt deal. Not only that YOU NEED, it's a MUST to either flash ecu or get race map if you get after market exhaust on the bike. the moment you swap exhaust, bike will start running lean when it worms up and after 30 mins of riding, if you sit in a traffic light, you will hear how it starts to chug. this has to be mentioned. I love the bike, i could deal with it being twitchy/jerky, i absolutely hated it overheating, chugging, the whole chores of getting it modded, eventually traded in at a loss.
@RacingandAdventure2 жыл бұрын
Right now the dealers are offering the ECU Flash. What bike do you own right now?
@Asmodeius2 жыл бұрын
@@RacingandAdventure i was at aprilia dealership in may. in NYC tristate area. they didn't have the flash yet, and didn't know if they get one or not. i had aprilia 2021 tuono v4 touring edition. got rid of it, riding triumph rocket 3 right now. plenty of speed, much more comfortable, speed is on tap, flash available. much happier with it than aprilia. sure it's bigger, not as good on twisties, but it's good enough for average rider.

The tiny diameter of the Honda's exhaust manifold tubing looks like it came out of the parts been from circa 1980's. The fact that the Honda is blacked out only makes it all the more unmemorable and uninspiring. Should've skipped the Honda and brought on a Streetfighter v4 or Super Duke 1290r, but the fact that this test involves the Honda does make this test unique because it's seemingly overlooked by most.

I wrote the following before watching this but I think the Aprillia qualifies as what I am yearning for in fairing with ergos...I had written "Can someone p;ease explain to me WHY no manucacturer offers relaxed ergos WITH an RR style fairing? Cause I dont get it at all? I realize the resulting bike might not quite look just right given the fairing bubble would have to be just a tad bit taller but seriously? NO ONE? I know adventure motorcycle type designs exist even if not offroad capable in some cases like the S1000XR but it is funky compared to the RR and really there is no GOOD reason it has to be a totally different bike because just look at the single R which appears to share baside RR platform sans the RR's hyper engine tuning....WHAT in the WORLD could be so damn hard about modding the RRs fairing to fit the R'd higher handlebar? Personally it need not even be a full GP looking wrap around fairing just the top part would be fine. I have a sneaking suspicion the ONLY reason we cant have such a version is the marketing idiots and their competition for pricepoint bikes....For one thing if they did offer such a faired R then probably too many custormers would buy THAT instead of the RR and once folks realized how little was invlolved it would challenge their entire pricing scheme? I guess the closest companies come to doing this Kawasaki and Suzuki with the GSX1000GT and the Ninja SX1000 but they both go way past relaxing the ergos and turn each example into PIGS weight wise by making them check all sorts of Sport Touring boxes. Maybe the answer is simply create the PARTS needed to make the RR type models into faired R types? Then perhaps allow customers to order them done up at the factory. I and I know others find this very frustrating we cant just buy an otherwise hard edged sportbike with relaxed ergos....Our only choices are Naked price point bikes ,:ong travel adventure style motorcycles or else heavy sport tourers." .....Now if the other manufacturers will please follow suit with Aprillia? After watching this now I want the BMW with Aprillia's fairing!

You guys make it look like a disadvantage there’s suspension with old fashioned clickers, it’s a robust and brilliant working system for years. Personally I would not buy a bike with the electronic stuff, I trust the mechanical version way more. In my opionion it would be better to setup suspension properly before testing a bike, it differs for every rider so you’re testing defaults that are probably not applicable to you. Doesn’t give s realistic view of the bike. By the way, dealers should setup suspension as well when they deliver a new bike. In most cases they don’t, makes your new bike a lot less brilliant (and safe).
