After the video, I’m not regretting my 765RS purchase. Always wanted to see how well it keeps up with liter naked bikes on the track. I know on the street it moves out just fine with putting the power down

I`m looking to upgrade my Z900 and these two bikes, plus the cb1000r are on my list, which of these two bikes do you think is the better street performer? I'm leaning to the S1000r because of the higher hp and torque numbers so I wouldn't need to have it in the high rpm's all the time.
@ridesa82804 жыл бұрын
Both are great bikes. The street is slightly more comfortable and more forgiving. It's a very capable bike as you can see and it easy to manoeuvre for street riding. It has plenty of torque, I wouldn't worry about that. The S1000r is a litre bike, meaning big performance but is very usable - with the rider aids enabled. It wont handle as well as the triple on the street but pulls like a freight train on the highway. If you're mainly doing short bursts in busy streets then go for the triple. If you do a lot of long distance with highways etc then a bigger hp bike might make more sense - but it will also drink more fuel.

@@ridesa8280 Thanks for the reply I appreciate your insight. I ride in all scenarios, I commute, I blast the backroad twisties on the weekend and enjoy some highspeed highway pulls too. I won`t be looking to pull the trigger until the end of next season so I have some time to think, again thanks for your time.

@@KB-yj5xp its funny you are asking this question bc i am torn between the BMW and the street triple as well. the only difference is that i had both a 2015 and a 2018 street triple before i recently sold my last one. he is correct the street triple will handle better and is a bit lighter i noticed but damn the BMW is smooth with any bumps or anything. you can tell it really has some tech put into it. it really depends on your budget too bc the BMW is obviously a bit more expensive. both of their power bands are solid and dont have any peaks or valleys just usable power throughout. im personally leaning towards getting an s1000r mainly bc ive had street triples before and bc of the little bit extra power. great thing is you wont be disappointed in either one. one great thing about the street triples too a lot of ppl dont mention is they dont get crazy hot whereas ducatis forget it youll be roasting lol

@@KB-yj5xp just to muddy your waters further, there's a new Speed Triple 1200 releasing to the press this month - 2021.01 Don't believe the rumours, the Speed Triple isn't heavy, it has a heavy exhaust system, swap it out for the Arrow 33-into-1 from the accessory catalogue

@MrZyLeXx .......dude? I'm very well aware it's not about power, the street is lighter, thats the advantage. but the speedy's brakes are better, more torque more power and equally flickable. Let's also not ignore rider positioning and confidence in the machine. Truth is power numbers aside? It's about the rider
@MrZyLeXxАй бұрын
@@jace2wheel762 It's not qually flickable... The brakes are better when you're not considering the weight of the bikes and that a change of pads wont solve lol. It's obviously all about the rider but the Street Triple is the better track bike.

Nice video ... I think u r not getting the wobble for 2 reasons ... 1 is your weight .. the second reason is you take most of the corners at moderate speed like 10:44 not slow not fast but moderate ... I got the wobble when I take the corners at 200 to 220 km.

@@fynn8252 if the choice is between the Speed and Street, for me it would be the Speed - mainly because I have had an s1000r for the last couple of years (42000km travelled) and enjoy the higher output, and also because I am a larger guy (187cm/110kg) and feel more comfortable on, and look more in proportion to, the slightly larger Speed.
