Not changing the visuals is a good strategy, that keeps the brand image of the vehicle growing which is already good.

Few key highlights to note for new users as from existing owners point, they should have improved rear fender as during monsoon, pillion will get dirty , this also affects the belt too due to too much of dirt accumulates there & hence it generates belt noise. front fender too gets dirty where your headlight will be affected. As in review videos you are looking at cleanest bike. Charging socket cover is really flimsy , hope they have improved this. Default feature shall be Shutdown (rather then doing it manually) when you turn off the bike, this is because you loose some amount of charge when you turn off the bike due to sensors. Rest I am big fan of this company & happy with Gen 2 of Ather 450x.

Since I been riding a Series 1 450x. I don’t think it’s a significant upgrade. While the changes seem to be interesting for the new Ather prospects. If I want to buy my second Ather. I think I’d rather wait for a range of 200 kms minimum. Also the visuals that remain the same is still OK. But I wonder why would they not introduce some lovely bright Color’s like the red or yellow or other shades. It’s disappointing to see just the same three Color’s doing the round since quite a time now! Having Said that I love the Ather. It is our go to scoots. Never disappoints. Never troubled. Always exciting and exhilarating. 👍🏻

It seems ather is playing it safe with the battery pack. An extra 105 km of range will probably not heat up the battery too much. If they had gone bigger like 120 km eco mode, they would be risking the battery and motor to overheat just like Ola.

Haven't you heard recent news that Ola battery suddenly drops drown from 10km to 0, or that the Ola battery caught fire, or that the brake of the Ola didn't work and the driver got into a fatal accident, or that it accelerates forward even without twisting the throttle or that it goes backwards at speed more than the claimed safety speed for going reverse mode???? Please get out of the rock

@Lars I have been using ola s1 pro for about 6 months now. I haven't faced a single issue of battery overheating. Increased speed while on reverse Glitch software. No issues so far. Also the range offered is true. New eco mode also gives 170 km Navigation works amazingly well. I have used it well outside a beaten path and it showed me everything well enough. The screen and software has worked brilliantly. I faced no problems at all.

I suggest sticking to petrol driven scooters. They are cheaper to buy and they get you a mileage of about 50 kmpl. They will also probably last a lot longer than the new electric scooters. I've had a TVS Jupiter for about 8 years now and I had no problems with it. Unfortunately electric scooters don't really make a lot of sense when you think about it and right now they are being hyped up.

Bajaj chetak is much better then all Evs, it has best built quality as it has Metal body and acute range. I am using it for last 8 months and have covered more then 5000 km.

I took a test drive and noticed my knees touching the front guard and while turning, the handle touching. It is designed for short and medium height people. you can consider Simple One scooter which looks promising. Also with ather you may have to shell out Rs 7200 every year for connectivity, navigation and service.

I guess 90 is more than enough , it keeps the battery safe and rapid drain of battery and although it is not safe , I think the maximum should be 80 like iqube , Chetak, and yeah I own 450x

Ather needs to provide option to opt for lower gear ratio (maybe bigger rear sprocket) for better gradeability, since living on a hill station city, the output torque on wheel isn't enought to carry 2 people on an incline road which are 20° at max 30°.

Less than 200 kms is not acceptable at all at this gener. Take 2 lacks or 2.5 but 6kwh battery pack with real world range of 200km should be provided.

Still missing - ABS, definitely. With so much power on offer, it should have bare safety features like ABS. Usually companies don't offer it unless govt mandates it. And it's back seat is still sooooo high. Not sure if that will ever change. Being a Gen 1 user, I can only hope their new mirrors and accessories like side stand & storage bags are backward compatible. But Ather has been very poor in supporting its existing customers.
