Well done for reviewing a 125. I’ve had a TNT 125 in the fantastic green colour since July last year - my first bike after CBT. It’s been a fantastic bike to get my road time on. I’m a lady rider, age 52 and I’ve just passed my mod 2. I’m picking up a Tuono 660 next week but I’ve decided to keep my Benelli for now. It’s such fun. I got 70 out of it on the way back from my mod 2 test 😁

This one does look good, as all Benellis do. Nice exhausts. I wouldn't want to go fast on 12'' wheels. Neat dash. I bet kids will like this bike. There are several similar Thai-Chinese bikes which run on 14'' wheels. You won't get them, though as they have 150cc engines. In fact, I've just checked and a Benelli TNT 150 exists in Asian markets and has 17'' wheels. Another very good review.

i will take this instrument /meter cluster any day over the honda rebel 500. with the tachometer (not available on the rebel 500), you don't really need a gear indicator but that analog tachometer is a nice addition for such a basic, cheap motorcycle. it's a shame bikes costing a few times more cannot even match such an instrument cluster. That dual pipe for a single cylinder is a surprising design feature.

Cracking little bike, well built and lots of fun to ride and thats coming from someone who rides a big heavy 1000cc strom unlike the grom which felt utterly gutless and tacky imo way better than the grom its one of the nicest chinese 125cc bikes ive seen and rode.

I have a Chinese 125 a Mash Falcone but that has 17 inch wheels which I think is preferable It seems that the frame is used for the TNT 125 E5 as well. Who makes the engine Mark ? Is that something that you can slip in these reviews ? Is it a engine made under license ? The engine of mine 125 is derived from Suzuki, not made by Suzuki. I fond the firm that is making those. With the combined braking on the foot brake what is the front vs rear biases? Eg is it 70% front and 30% rear? If its the perfect ratio then could a rider in most situations just use the foot brake? Handy for a new rider in a emergency situation where they might forget to grab the front brake or even help stop them locking it up without abs. I am surprised it has no abs given the push to make it standard in regulations around the world. Good review and I like the look of it more than the grom and Z125 bikes.

I own one, converted into a mini scrambler. Bought it for fun, and to test the quality of Chinese built motorcycles. It’s capable, but don’t expect Honda quality, and it has a few mildly annoying features, but overall I would say its worth the retail price. It also puts a big smile on your face. Buyers should know that Benelli don’t provide a rear shock adjustment spanner in the toolkit. They say you should take it to the dealer for adjustment, so get it set up before you take delivery or buy a tool and wrestle with the absurdly tight adjusters!.

@peterconnell3162 Жыл бұрын
@@HuwPewPew honestly, buy the CBF125. You can’t go wrong with the Honda. I sold my TNT125 after 1,000 kms. The dealer network is poor, my experience with my own dealer was poor, and whilst elements of the bike look well put together I found things like batteries, chains, etc., are of low quality. Also don’t let any Benelli dealer tell you the 125 engine is the same as the Honda. It’s not!. The Honda engine will far outlast the Benelli.
@HuwPewPew Жыл бұрын
@@peterconnell3162 thanks for that! I'd heard that the new model of the CB125F was of a lower quality than it's previously named CBF125 and apparently rust quite a bit so I was definitely on the fence. I've also heard that the stock tires on the TNT are something of a death trap in the wet so it adds 150 to the price of purchase to get those changed. Plus the honda is quite ugly comparatively 🤣 Aaaargh the indecision!
@peterconnell3162 Жыл бұрын
@@HuwPewPew the TNT125 tires are poor, but I changed them from day one. Whilst the bike has style, its quite small. The Honda is more akin to riding a proper bike. For me the Benelli was a third bike in my garage, and to only be used at weekends for a bit of fun. I would never buy it as a daily rider. Also don’t worry about negative comments on the Honda. They are generally built with good quality control, and if you look after it then you won’t regret buying it.

It was only 3 years old when he bought it (a 67 reg) and it was already going rusty and the front brake was seizing. Last October the bike expired with two burnt out exhaust valves, it had covered 11000 miles. He got rid of it for spares as due to it's over all condition it just wasn't worth repairing. Yes they look cool and funky but that sparkle soon fades. Sorry to put a downer on your excellent review Mark but people need to know what they are buying if they want one of these.

@@aldrinempalmado1774I am 5ft 1, in the morning 🤭 & while I’m entering my mid-life-crisis phase, decided to start riding. I have one of these. Yes, I’ve dropped it, BUT I CAN touch the ground. Just. On tippy-toes with both feet, quite easily on 1 side flat footed. Although I’ve had some issues with my “check engine” light coming on. The bikes been in the shop for 2wks & I’ve just got it back…. So far, so good. THIS time around 🤞🤞🤞

Fairly typical of these Chinese bikes that they only produce around 10 bhp when they legally can go to 15 bhp you'd think they would go for at least 12 bhp or more, but the fact they don't is a bit disappointing don't ya think

The bike looked normal until you sat on it.....you looked like a giant! I don't think combined brakes are a good idea, when a learner moves up to a bigger bike they will have to learn front and back braking, when to use either or both is quite a skill. Fun bike for little people though.

Yup. But the monkey is more reliable. Could literally hit the limiter all day long on those. They're bullet proof.

Cheap copy of KTM Duke 125.

It's nothing like a ktm duke. It's more of a copy of honda grom.
