I don't like the new one as much as the outgoing F22. I have a RWD 2017 M240i with manual transmission. I'm not sure how the new one could be as fun. It's bigger, heavier, AWD, and no manual available. Plus I think it's uglier. Why did they make it bigger? If you want bigger, get a 4 series.

The new bmw 2 series is really bad looking in the front but the rear is not as bad, if I walk into a dealership I’d still pick the old 2 series over the new one

Older. The side on the newer looks too plain, the rear is totally uncalled for, and the newer car looks less edgy and more dopey than the older. I just don’t see a good bmw spirit from the newer one.

In the 2022 BMW 2 Series, engineers ditched the standard manual transmission. All the engines team up with an eight-speed Steptronic transmission as standard. Optional eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission (standard in the BMW M240i xDrive Coupe) with gearshift paddles on the steering wheel, plus Launch Control for powering off the line with optimal traction and Sprint function for instant, dynamic bursts of speed when already on the move, which shifts to the lowest gear if the driver holds the left gear lever for one second.

I always found it odd on the old 2-series how tiny the wheels and tires were. like comically small. Even dainty. I think when ppl start seeing the new M240i in person, and not these horrid marketing videos - they'll get the point. The new M240i is hot and will most likely deliver sub-4 sec 0-60 times. We like our weekend toy 2 series 2016 coupe so much more than this new over the top shocker. I won't be up grading thats for sure. BMW hasn't got a nice designed vehicle of any new type. I've owned 7 new BMW's and now we are finished with cheating BMW. Go Tesla and our Tesla Model 3 who don't cheat.
