The sound system is amazing, but the bass vibrating the seats so intensely gets annoying after a few songs, IMHO.

Just as I suspected, the whole character of the BMW iX changes at night. The car that looks like the highway hunchback during the day becomes the a sophisticated high-tech cruiser at night. So that's the game plan, get people to experience this new vehicle at night and you're spoiled for any other EV. Just keep up the monthly payments, lol. Thank you, Miles. 👍👍

Absolutely. In general, the BMW just needs to get people into the iX interior to win them over. Compared to every other dedicated EV on the market, this cabin is the first true luxury experience.

Like many EVs, be prepared to get crushed on resale if you buy new. I'm seeing cars only a few months old listed for $20K under MSRP. Lease or look for a used one!

@MilesPerHr was wondering your opinion on the brightness of these lights? I came from a 45e with laser lights, compared with ix the ix has a faint yellow hue and are definitely not as bright as my 45e's

It looks like the lighting at the top of the doors might be distracting with the reflection in the glass, but I would have to see for myself.

Thanks for posting. While the new iDrive looks cool and seems snappy, does the map view seem a little dated? I have yet to see a video where there is a 3D map view to make the map look more realistic. It just seems artificial and lacking a view that shows live colors and street features. Is it me, or is this coming in an update later?

It's not as sophisticated as the latest MBUX system, but it's still pretty sharp and detailed

I mounted my 45" TV in my Honda Civic today, it looks so futuristic now, I love it. Next planning to put 62" screen in my wife's Mini Cooper. I love future and i'm prepared!

I can already see all the future insurance adjusters mentally breaking down because all the drivers are going to blame auto drive when they get into accidents so when the insurance claim person asks were you driving they say no they weren't but they were in the driver seat, still trying to admit it was the "computers" fault hahahahahhahahahahahahahaha I can't wait and you guys already put technology into your bloodstreams hahahahaahahhahhahahahahahaha
