I own both an S1000XR and Tuono V4 1100. Tuono is MUCH faster in any gear up to 8-9000rpm. Top end is very similar, but the V4 character is in my opinion sweeter.

I own a 2014 s1000r.... Traded a 2005 GSX-R1000 for it and never missed the power of the big gixxer. The engines feel kinda simila bellow 220 km/h. Above that, all 1000cc superbikes spread their wings over naked models. But in real life situation, this is A LOT of bike. I tried the Tuono in a Aprilia test ride, and I have to agree that viscerally, the Tuono feels better than my bike… the riding position (more “forward” over the front wheel), the (good) vibrations of the V4 and its power curve… and the SOUND… pure heaven. I choose the BMW because from all my browsing, it seemed more reliable, + the heated grips, + the cruise control…. Performance wise, both machines are WAY above my riding skills anyway so potato-potato.

Holy smokes. I own a 2019 Speed Twin and love the engine. The motor on the S1000R puts out the same power as my bike does right up until it's 7000 RPM redline and then continues to 12,500 RPM pulling just as hard. What a beast. The styling isn't working for me and I would prefer it look a bit more like the Yamaha XSR900. Just retro enough that non bike people think it might be old but has all the right parts in all the right places and goes like stink.

please between this bike and the Yamaha mt09 sp 2022 for street riding, which is better?
@donaldduck9424Ай бұрын
The MT09. The S1000R engine is dead down below, and the power over 7000 is not realy usable on roads. I've driven a 890ccm MT09 and it pumps out loads of power. I'm still thinking of selling my street< rs for it.

It’s an awesome bike but It lacks character, I’d go for the MT-10 SP instead
