Love the videos, but would also like to see speed tests with a typical setup added in. Maybe a 28" draw, not necessarily fully tuned, but at least shooting straight-ish out of the bows and add a 450g and 550g arrow through the chrono as well. I think many in the community would be surprised to see how bows change in both speed and feel with different setups than just grabbed off the rack. Keep up the great work!

Cool vlog Josh on the Bowtech there. I can really see that when you had put it on performance mode it really had to pull a little harder but you did it and I really enjoyed it also. Right on. I also wanted to say Josh I enjoyed this whole year of your vlogs and hoping to see more in the new year. Josh have a wonderful Happy New Year 2022!!

If it’s possible can you also start showing the bow speed with shorter draw lengths, ? Maybe IBO draw length and min draw length ? I’m a 27.5 so speed matters a lot .

@@WM-jy9dz if it’s slower it’s not getting more Kenetic energy! 70 pound bows shoot faster! I shoot an 80 pound bow and with a 26 inch draw, 450 grain arrow and I get 278 FPS. Point being this 80 pound bow will be out performed by 70 pound bows. No point to buying this bow.
@jwild53603 жыл бұрын
@@toddlymburner5783 the bow is only slower bc the arrow weight went up 50 grains for ibo testing purposes. You guys really don’t have a clue in these archery comment sections. This is a 345fps ibo bow idc how u cut and slice it. This bow is no different than the rx7. No different than v3 x. Or any of the rest of them. You just have to actually understand what’s going on. The weight went up 10 pounds but the arrow also went up 50 grains. In this case 53. That’s why the speeds look just like the 70 pound bows that are tested with a 350 grain arrow. If he tested this how with 80lb limbs and 350 grains he would no longer be inside IBO parameters.
@toddlymburner57833 жыл бұрын
@@jwild5360 IBO is pulling 5 grains per pound, which I have also done. The Bowtechs are not even close at 350 grains, 70 pounds, 30 inches or shooting a arrow at 5 grains per pound (IBO) they are way under IBO speeds, they are WAY under Mathews, Hoyt etc… heck I shot my Hoyt RX4 at 26 inch draw 80 pounds 400 grain arrow and got 296 FPS, I did the same with the Bowtech and got 280 FPS. Sorry dude no matter what comparison you use the Bowtechs suck at speed!

Always enjoy watching your bow reviews. Could you do one for the best youth/beginner bows? I want to get my 12 year old son a bow that he can grow into. Like a diamond edge 320 or a bowtech amplify. One of those bows with a large poundage and draw length adjustment.
@thistledewoutdoors33312 жыл бұрын
I've bought 3 diamond edge 305 & 320 bows for my son, girlfriend & nephew - All needed slight tuning of strings but all had good cam lean from the box.... Make sure the arrow don't come out of the whisker biscuit during the draw because it's cheaper than the original WB.... Other than that they've been good to go... For the $,,, Parker & Bear bows always did good too

I don't know why you would waste the money. This bow is really under-performing with the 80lb limbs.

I have a Revolt X and wondered the same thing. I contacted Bowtech directly and they said the new limb pockets are different and the limbs are not compatible with original Revolt X. That's a bummer and I would hope that reasoning is for engineering purposes and not just a business purpose to keep current Revolt X customers from upgrading just limbs.

Does anyone know exactly how these bow companies test their bows on speed. I just find it strange that every company lists a higher FPS then what the tests come out to. All bow companies. I don’t see these companies wanting to lie about what the actual FPS is on their bows. So it would be nice to find out how they come up with their FPS. In that case if it’s different then we have to wonder who’s test is more accurate.

remember that this was shot at 5 grains per pound. 80lbs = 400gr. 70lbs =350gr. So this bow is shooting the same speeds as a 70 lbs bow but doing it with a heavier arrow. Hence the 80lb limbs.

Great review as always. I have been waiting for a review on this bow. Bowtech used to make my favorite bows, I don't know what the hell happened this year.
