2022 Breitling Navitimer - First Impressions

Couple other things point out: The dial is less busy due to the deletion of the tachymeter track; the date window has moved from the 4:30 to the 6 position (in the sub-dial); and the rotor arms echo the AOPA logo. Thanks for the video, thoroughly enjoyed it!

Ahh it was the tachymeter deletion I think that did it for me, I couldn’t put my finger on what it was that had changed that made it look less busy but now that you point it out I’m noticing that’s what did it for me. Thanks for watching and commenting :)

Thank you Shah, you highlight the development of an icon while so many focus on the ubiquitous Rolex theme. In regard to the latest 'Navitmer' - owning the previous B01 variant appreciate the current tweaks; especially the open rotor. My concern is following the colour trend given this remains a 'stand alone' watch in history. Something one could argue may undermine its individual integrity.

Interesting point about it potentially tainting its integrity, but honestly I feel the Navitimer is enough of an icon to weather a trend like this and then go back to its classic colors in the next generations - same way it weathered the big watch trend going all the way up to 48mm and now its back to normal sizing

I agree with removing the wings is a stupid idea... I prefer the B Anchor wing logo instead of the AOPA and the B logo... It's beautiful, it's complex, it's meaningful to remember the history of this watch. When I was in Switzerland, Although I love other Breitling, but I bought the Endurance Pro over other Breitling because of the B Anchor Wing logo.

I like the “old” Navitimer being busy - it’s what makes it recognizable. The new version is in my opinion very nice, but it is ……… 🤔 I don’t know. 🇩🇰 Ps. Great video.

Long story short. The 2022 new Breitling Navitimer is more similar to Sinn 903.

I don't quite see it, do you mean the bracelet maybe? The rest still seems decently different (or at least as different as the Navi & the 903 can get)

@@ShahLusso The outer ring of the slide rule is relatively flatten in the new version, which is the number one point similar to the Sinn. They omitted the "B & anchor" logo on the chronograph second hand. Third, on the sub dials, they use the similar style of fonts and hands as the Sinn on the new version.

Sizes and combinations make me impossible to decide which to buy. Size is good 41 but color from 46. Horrible idea to limit colors per sizes.

I agree, as a preference I'd have preferred the old wings too, but for the Navi at the very least to have wings in one form or another is still an improvement :)
