Growing up, I had many scrapbooks I made. I loved them. Then smart phones came along. I started working and anything artsy made me feel like a waste of time and money. I had 2 kids and became a stay at home mom and now after 4 years I've finally realized doing art would be much better to do in front of my kids instead of internet surfing. Going to make a bullet journal and bust my scrapbook tub out.

I recommend the Ranger's archival ink stamp pad, as it is very pigmented and can be colored in after stamping since it is archival ink which is nice too! Love the theme!

It’s rather atmospheric.. 🤩 According to google it is probably from a book by French/Belgian author Georges Simenon, The cat/The man who watched the train go by, released in 1967. Tombow fineliners are my favorite for journalling. For some reason, Sakura microns cause my hands to hurt much faster than tombows, even though they are very similar. I love the ephemera you’re using! Re: future logs, I use a year at a glance as my cover page because I refer to it for week numbers and days of the week, and then I keep a two-page future log spread for trips and birthdays. For appointments and stuff I use the calendar on my phone so I don’t need much space.

Two black ink pad recommendations: Memento tuxedo black - this is a dark black and works well with markers. It dries pretty quickly too Versafine Onyx - this is a pigment ink and is great for fine details but needs to dry not to smudge. It will smudge if you use most markers with it

Planners & perfecting them is such a Virgo trait! ☺️ If you don’t relate to your Virgo Sun, you should look up your birth chart! Especially your Ascendant/rising & Moon signs, & your chart ruler. In regards to western astrology, it's actually super common for people to not feel like they match their Zodiac sign, which is you being a virgo. Your zodiac sign as you know it is actually just your Sun sign. You also have a moon sign, rising sign, mercury sign, venus sign, mars sign, saturn sign, pluto sign, neptune sign, jupiter sign, among other things. A lot of folks who might not resonate with their sun sign, might resonate more with their rising sign. Western astrology is not nearly as simple as the commercialized versions would have us believe lol. Love the video

Just so you know, many public libraries in Utah allow you to use printers there. Also, if you are staying at a hotel, they usually have printers to use. Beyond that, there are copy and print shops that will print computer files for you. I really enjoyed this video. Thank you. ❤️

I am both a snake in Chinese astrology and Scorpio in Western astrology. Personally I don’t really put much stock in astrology, but I’ve been told I do represent a lot of their main characteristics. 🐸 I loved this whole setup. Your videos are always so inspiring. My word of the year is a Greek word: Metanoia. It means to turn from the darkness and face the light. I chose this word because 2020/2021 have been rough years, in terms of my mental health. But 2022 is the year that I will be really putting a lot of work into and focusing on my mental health. It’s time to prioritize that over all else.

I looked over my past four years of bullet journals to get an idea of what I wanted for this one and I realized it's not a set up I usually use, since birthdays and holidays go on my monthly calendars so I only end up with like four or five dates on the future log at most.

It’s never too late to start! I started my first bullet journal in June, and just started a new one whenever my notebook was full, regardless of what time of year it was☺️ The first time I started a journal in January I ended up throwing it away in February because it didn’t suit me lol. I think it’s important to go into it with the mindset that it’s just a journal, and it doesn’t have to be perfect❤️

I do a word of the year. 2022 is going to be "No Excuses" (I know that's 2!) There are times with health and other issues that I can't do things as well as I like, so I'm not saying that I can't make accommodations for problems, but that is planning, not just falling back on an excuse. Ink pads tend to have either pigment or dye inks with pigment tending to be the more saturated color but sit on the surface of the paper so it may take longer to dry. Some pads need time for that mottled appearance to even out, but that can also be due to the paper used. You can help this by seasoning the stamp (esp the clear kind) which you do by stamping many times with ink on scrap or rubbing it with your fingers and then stamping. Momento in tuxedo black is probably the easiest to find in local craft shops. Staz-On is better if you think you’ll stamp on non-porous surfaces. I would recommend buying a re-inker at the same time because you’ll get the same brand and it’s so much less waste. Just be careful you don’t go crazy and oversaturate the pad (hard won lesson). If you don’t know how long it’ll take ink to dry or just impatient, put a blotting page between layers. Highly recommend a blooming paper with gel pens on black paper, btw.

It's in that genre of magical historical Chinese dramas. The only thing is that you have to go online and search for the actual ending scene once you've finished as it's not included in the official broadcast.
