Do the xmrs really have a lower gear in transmission and bigger diffs to handle bigger tires or is it just a different clutch? If the xmr doesn’t have anything mechanically different other than a clutch I may go with a xtp 1000 and then rad relocate it. But I can’t find a solid answer on it

The transmission does have a lower low range gear to minimize belt slippage with running bigger tires in the mud. I don’t believe the diffs are different from the other models. Though a friend has an XT 1000 done like an XMR with a CV primary and that does just fine. I bought mine mainly for the fact it was snorkelled because I deal with a lot of water crossings up north.

The warrior kit installed on my 22 xmr 1000 don’t move at all, you just got to space the PVC pipes out right so when you put the risers on they can slide and lock into each other

Very good break down , I glad you explained the 4lok and the switch set up, I was wondering how that worked. Will you do the can am snorkel set up too… the snorkel kit for non xmr puts the air intake and clutch intake in the snorkel ? And a power vision 3 from dynojet ? I followed your IG and sub to here .

I may end up going with the Cam am one. I believe for the XMR it only extends the air intake because your CVT intake is already mounted to the rad relocate and the CVT exhaust is underneath the gauge support. As for tuning I may eventually get a dynojet and run their tune or one from “Motorsports Addicts” but that is some thing for the future or I may even get a “monster fuel injection” tune installed by “Crazy Browner “ tuning here in Ontario. I was thinking about getting same one hows the brake system work does front brake only control front brake or is it both and do you feel like its a well built riding 4 wheeler thanks

So these machines have a brake lever mounted on the left side of the handlebars which controls both front brakes and the single rear brake at the same time. The foot brake lever on the right side controls the rear brake only. After getting it out and being able to ride it some more I will say that the XMR suspension is tuned a bit stiffer but it’s still a well-built four wheeler and it rides fairly comfortable. Though the way things are built these days I would recommend doing a deep inspection before and after getting it out for its first ride. Somethings tend to get missed during their pre-delivery inspection.

How do you like the krossflow? I’ve been looking at it for my outlander but don’t want it to be stupid loud.

At idle it sounds a bit loud like the Mud series but it actually isn’t that bad. It’s quieter than the mud series while driving and not totally obnoxious. It’s definitely louder than an MBRP but not as loud as an SLG or RJWC Mud series. I do like mine quite a bit.

Who did you say for the airbox lid gasket ?

OMC. I’m actually using my stock air box lid with one of their gaskets. It’s a tight seal.

To be honest I’m not sure. If anything it may burn more since it’s supposed to richen the fuel mixture since these machines run lean from the factory. But I can’t be certain.

I've been least impressed with my sportsman 570. I definitely want to upgrade to an outlander XMR. Fits my ride style better. Rough terrain trail and sloppy mud

Hey great video I hate seeing people sit down and talk about fourwheelers and can am or any other brand out there and not know a single thing they are saying but I have one question with you knowing as much as you do I know just as much as you but one thing I don’t know much about is this power commander I have I do not have it on but I have dual hmfs and a power commander 5 for my 570 xmr renegade and I assume that it’s not just fuel tuner because of the fact that it has a custom tune on it but I’m still not positive I need to ask

From what I’m finding is the power commander (I assume it’s the one from dynojet) it looks like it’s just a fuel controller not a full on tuner like the Power vision 3. I’m not sure if they may have programmed it custom for your set up so that you didn’t have to mess with it?

@@octane_adventures no so one of our buddies works with dyno jet and it has a plug to plug in a computer and write a tune for it

Triangle atv snorkels do not move there mounted in a steel bracket

So why even buy this atv? Just buy an xtp and build it. The tires are 28-28.5 they are tiny and not very good, the snorkels are useless. None are high enough.. he Can-Am kit extends all above handlebars and fit and finish is perfect. The xtp comes with the nice gauge and amazing piggy back shocks. The radiator relocate is useless.. just hose it off after each ride.. I can’t believe people but these xmr outlanders and the snorkels are useless and not even high. Atleast the renegade comes with amazing snorkels way above handlebars and 2500 worth of piggyback shocks, beadlock wheels.. this is why it is more expensive
